Sign situation
I apologize in advance to any Kerry campaign worker I offend. I an a district chair and one of my precinct committee workers spent hours creating Kerry sings from her old campaign signs, she is a former candidate, and putting them up all over my precinct. The Kerry campaign has run out of yard signs and has never put up the billboards as promised. We have been sneeking out at night and putting them up on mounts of rebarb that we have made ourselves. The republicans hit our precinct and not only took down our K/E signs but also removed our legislative any any other democratic signs and put up repug signs on our rebarb!
I talked to one very nice voluteer followed by a bigger cheese who while he discussed the sign situation , implied it was no big deal as what really counted was getting the vote out. He spoke of canvassing and phone banking as if I were a toddler. I have never been so patronized in my life! For the record, I am doing both those things and have worked in a primary capacity for two campaigns as well as the Kerry Campaign this season.! I will get over it, but I just wanted to vent.Where do they find these little twerps? the Campaign is loaded with them. I just spoke to a Clintonista, who is traveling with one of the candidates.I am trying to be subtle and was informed how rude these little young twerps are to everyone and have no respect for experience. And don't get me wrong .The majority of these young people are great but many of the empowered newbies are awful and could hurt us by stupidity!

1. There is a certain amount of young folk cliquishness
I've discovered. One person used to be quite solicitous when I first started coming in. Now it's like she doesn't remember me. When I try to ask about something she and another are speaking about, I get a very simple answer. Typical human interaction type stuff. I'm not offended really. Reminds me of high school a bit, is all.

But there are others who make up for her.

Even so, as they say, signs don't vote. Our Vets for Kerry have resorted to making their own out of very sturdy corrigated plastic.

Nevertheless, this weekend will be the great Kerry yard sign blitz. Can't wait to see where they pop up.

2. Yard sign Blitz?
Except the campaign doesn't have any and isn't planning on ordering any, at least in this state! It takes two weeks to get them . I am having 100 ordered from a man who makes them locally. I will have them by Saturday! But I know of no blitz by the Campaign.
