Breaking news creates perfect storm on stem cell issue!!
Edited on Fri Oct-08-04 12:39 AM by BUSHOUT
Given that:

Michael J. Fox appeared with Kerry on Tuesday at a rally to talk about the stem cell issue and give Kerry his support...

And given that:

Fox appears in a powerful new Kerry ad which was published (perhaps aired) shortly after Tuesday,

THIS
Breaking news about an exciting stem cell discovery tonight
is really an amazing thing for Kerry and the World!

In this new study they were able to cure mice for an inherited heart deformity that is usually 100 percent fatal.

And it's more than that. This was curing a fetus..curing the disease by injecting the mother. They got the stem cells to emit molecules that signaled heart cells to make changes and repair thier defects.

Now they'll start testing these secretions on adults to treat heart disease. Heart disease is the #1 killer of North Americans I *believe*.

There's lot's of different articles out there....it's huge news.

Kerry will be able to hammer bush on this tomorrow.

What was Laura Bush talking about when she said we're giving people false hope? I had a feeling she had no idea what she was talking about.

5. Oh, for sure. But that's a big pitfall for him....
Sure he will. But that's misleading. Just like when his wife keeps telling us that Bush is the first president to fund stem cell research. Stupidity of that argument is IT WASN'T AROUND BEFORE!!! Laura fails to mention that!
Look for Kerry to bring it up tomorrow!!!!

So yep, I expect they'll congratulate themselves over this, like you suspect.
Problem is all the interested parties and scientists agree that although Bush isn't BANNING it, he's severely limitting the research.

For Micheal J. Fox to come out and appear with Kerry, give him full support and make an ad for him....that's huge.

Americans are smart enough to figure out the truth....so I hope he does try to take credit for this.

M.J.Fox said it was like Bush gave them the car, but no gas...and congratulated himself for giving the car. They managed to push the car a little in spite of bush.

If I had an incurable disease and knew the pResident wasn't giving the green light to find a cure, I would find it appalling. Were not talking about creating another race of people.

The only "false hope" I see is trusting George Bush. Time for you to go. Bye. Bye. George.

9. If they've been paying attention they will.
From what I understand the moderator still picks a question....so out of all submitted there MUST be one on stem cell and the moderator (forget who he is, but it's another smart plugged-in news-type person) will definitely - given EVERYTHING that's happened and been said about stem cells this week - pick one out!

If I was bush I'd be :scared:, cause I'd know I'm the whippin' boy on the issue.
