Why is it when Kerry Leads by 4 points, its a 'small' lead?
And when Bush is leading by the same amount or even less. Its "Bush holds a comfortable lead" or "Bush is pulling away"

I don't get it.

1. my guess is that if there were multiple polls
showing a Kerry lead ranging from 4 points to 10-11 points they'd suggest a "comfortable lead", but only this AP poll is giving that lead, while others show a closer race or * up slightly.

3. Oh really?
Kerry was actually leading in the majority of polls in August. When he was supposedly having such a terrible month. How come the media didn't report THAT? They lie, lie, lie, that's why.

6. Exactly right
I saved a dozen VCR tapes from 2000 and reviewed them this summer. Throughout September, when Gore lead Bush by 4-6 points in the majority of polls, it was described as a moderate or consistent or comfortable lead.

Let's fully test this theory of media bias next week and until November 2, with Kerry up 5 points or more in every major poll.
