1. Isn't it "conventional wisdom"
that an incumbent can't win with an approval rating under 50?

Bwhahahaha. Anything can happen from here on out, and it surely won't be pretty.

7. Not just conventional wisdom but historical fact
I saw a Clinton pollster demonstrate this with charts and analysis. The incumbent's approval rating is the most reliable predictor of actual vote count. Bush will get 46%, no more. Maybe less.

5. I am more and more confident that Bush is going down to defeat
I just cannot see an incompetent incumbent President with approval ratings below 50%, whose record is staring everybody in the face, can defeat a strong challenger like Kerry.

6. Yeah, here is the original site with the info
http://www.pollingreport.com/BushJob.htm

Not looking good for W.

Anything under 50 percent is supposed to be pretty grim for the incumbent.

I think it just took awhile for the Democrats to grow some and start hammering * with the truth. Now the media is starting to report some negative points against BushCo.

8. Another interesting poll result just came out
In a Time/CNN poll just released a few miniutes ago, Kerry has not only regained the support he had from women but hasexceeded the large lead he had in that demographic group earlier this year.

This is also te first poll in which Kerry i viewed as being more likable than Bush
