Here's the rules for tonight...Seems to me to favor Bush
Debate Rules at a Glance

The 100 to 150 audience members tonight in St. Louis will be equal parts "soft" President Bush supporters and "soft" John Kerry supporters. That means they are leaning to one candidate or the other but say they are willing to be persuaded otherwise.

The audience will be handpicked, but by the Gallup polling organization, not the campaigns. Members will submit questions to a moderator ahead of time, and the campaigns will not know the topics.

The moderator will be Charles Gibson of ABC.

So a pro-Bush polling organization "handpicks" the audience, then a pro-Bush moderator further screens the questions.

But you know what? Bush will still probably lose this thing by being his usual smirking frat-boy self.

1. his sterling incompetence and ability to snatch defeat from the
jaws of victory will, hopefully, serve him well tonight.

as my parents used to say, this guy could tear up a steel ball.

2. I think that's why the Kerry campaign
let Bush have all the advantages, because Kerry can still beat W's ass, even with one arm tied behind his back.

4. I wish they would have got Zogby to select the audience...
At least let an impartial polling org select the audience. It's bad enough Gibson will filter the questions.

5. I thought the entire 32-page agreement
for the debates favored the GOP (judging by what I've read about it in various articles; I haven't read the entire agreement). About the only way it could have been easier for them is if there'd been a clause saying that Bush and Cheney would still be declared winners of all the debates even if they didn't show up.

But apparently Kerry/Edwards had to agree to all those pro-GOP conditions to get the Twit in Chief and his puppetmaster to show up at all...

7. I'm sure your right about that...
I just wish that it was more widely know that Kerry is cleaning his clock on turf that favor Bush.

9. so true
"So a pro-Bush polling organization "handpicks" the audience, then a pro-Bush moderator further screens the questions.

This is classic.

Why do I get the feeling this is some kind of GOP trap?
