Are Winners More Nervous or Losers More Nervous??
I'm sure both candidates would have some butterflies tonight of the regular stage fright variety. But Kerry has to have a great core of confidence after seeing both his own performance and how (as I'm sure he expected) Georgie folded up on cue. Kerry really is good with town hall settings if you have ever watched him and he can handle people trying to stick it to him. He can also manage fright and be grace under pressure.

Bush has to be applying extra thick deodorant tonight (oh please let him take off his jacket and sweat like the pig he is). He's never had to work for anything like he has to tonight. Even in non-pressure situations, Bush's brain goes into an attention deficit mode. He can't pick out salient thoughts from the bombardment of stimuli. His mind wants it all to be over with and sitting back basking in the glow of good reviews. All of that has been made easy for him over the years by the spin/propaganda/news manipulation surrounding him. Tonight the bubble is removed like in the first debate. But now the pressure is enormous. Any confidence will go when he gives a cute one liner and there isn't the thunderous applause.

Psychologically, tonight is stacked totally against Bush. He is not mentally tough. In fact all of his "tough" is a creation of spin.
