All the stuff that hurricanes blow away has to be re-built. Construction and raw materials spending will go way up for a time.
Hurricanes might have a very temporary effect, but this excuse will not wash.

While they were reading the jobs report on CNN this morning, the guy said "a lot of jobs were either not offered, or lost because of the 4 hurricanes."
I actually con't dispute that, but I have to ask why wouldn't the jobs created to do the clean up have offset those losses? Or aren't they doing cleanup?
