Some people live in their own little world. . .

Witness a poll that shows the VP debate won by Cheney 77% over Edwards 23%.
Another shows Bush* winning the first presidential debate 61% to Kerry's 39%.

A poll about Chicago Mayor Daley's proposal to lower penalties for possession of small amounts of marijuana was more evenly split, maybe 49%-51%. Could it be that freepers are stoned slackers?

Whether it's worth voting in this site's polls to bring them more in touch with reality is up to you. The site purports to be neutral but it's obviously frequented by RWers.
They have several polls up at a time and, if you give them your e-mail address, they'll include your vote in the results which they send to the persons they apply to, such as Kerry and Bush*, or Daley, in the above examples.

Caveat: You can be anonymous and see poll results but I'm not sure if they count your vote. A week or two after first going there and giving my e-mail address, I received a promo for FahrenHYPE 911, which stars RWers such as Ann Coulter and Dick Morris. I just got it this a.m. and I then unsubscribed so I guess I'll never know if they'd send an equal amount of left-oriented material.

Here's where to go if you want to DU it - - and I DU mean vote once, not descend to their level and reverse-freep it:

1. And I can save their souls if they pay me 200K. These people are
the same people who give money to televangelist. They are easily taken advantage of. Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

2. Polls are never what you seem to think they are.

Imagine the impossible - an actual unskewed independent poll.
It would be subject to a nearly 50% fuzzy error margin due to innumerable uncontroled or unexpected factors.

Now imagine a commercial polling company with established databases and an agenda.

Polls are next to meaningless except as propoganda tools ... Except for the VOL exit polls that have now been abolished as of December 2000.
