Is Tonight the Last "Safe" Night for the American People/Kerry?? |
|
It's very, very doubtful if Georgie is going to "pull it out" tonight and have the polls swinging in his favor as he rides on his way to victory. In other words, by Monday, the Bush campaign is offically in big trouble. Seeing how late it is on the calendar, anything these bastards had planned for the citizens of the US or anything they had planned in particular for Kerry is going to have to hit next 10 or so days. I truly think we are about to find out how demented these people are. I'd say that the target days are from the 11th through the 20th. I hope John puts on extra security and I hope the American people take extra special precautions. This will be the time when the Bush administration becomes truly dangerous.

1. Why do you think it ends with the 20th? |
|
Why do you think they wouldn't try to pull something, say, a week before the elections?

7. slav---call it the "bull horn" moment |

They need time for Bush to emerge on someone's dead bones and "unite the country", "pull us all together", "be the great leader" shit. A disaster with no good photo ops for Bush may tend to make people just suspect him and turn against him. Timing is cruicial. Something blowing in or around election day, robs the little slime of mug time on the airwaves and on the front pages of the papers.

But also, a time buffer would give people a chance to ask questions like "Didn't Bush say that we are safer now that Saddam is gone?". "Hasn't Kerry been saying all along that we haven't been putting enough resources in homeland security?".
And maybe if something happens 2 or 3 days before the election Bush could count on the reflexive shock reaction where people vote for Bush believing that the terrorists wanted them to vote for Kerry (as absurd as that is).
I mean, I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you, I just think the equation is a little more complex.

But I have a fear that these bastards are so low that they will "schedule" a terrorist attack to try to cower the populace.
It's a shame when you start distrusting the government that's supposed to be filled with "public servants".

3. Yes, it will be the last safe night |
|
And yes, this is the time when the Shrubbie McWarCriminal administration will be at its most truly dangerous.
I'm trying to mentally prepare myself for anything to happen between tonight and the election.
And if Shrubbie McAWOLDipShit loses the election, I'm preparing myself for a LOT of badness between the election and the inaugaration.
Even if Kerry wins, we aren't out of the fire until he's actually inaugarated. Assuming there's any country left to inaugarate him for.

Lighting a candle every day 11-20th. And beyond !!!!! I'm with you about the extra security for the campaign. Is it time to send the children away and prepare for the worst? Or, the Best if we are but stalwart.

8. sky---It's too bad schools don't close down until after the elections |
|
in order to deny them what looks like a prime target that they are already starting to hype (because of the Russian school killings). I think our children are in danger. I truly do. It would be so easy for them to get bombs into schools or car bombs out in front, etc.

10. I totally agree, especially if Dumbya goes down in flames |
|
again tonight. What I expect, though, is a major terrorist strike or two, followed by martial law and "postponement" (read: cancellation) of our Nov. 2 election. Get ready to get pissed off!

11. It wouldn't be beyond their "moral sense" to do that |
|
But I doubt they have the power to pull it off. Yes, politicians are all slime, blablabla -- but not all are mass murderers, and not everyone in government is a neocon.

12. Yeah things might get crazy... |
|
...if Bush really takes it on the chin tonight and lets face thats not a long shot he might start acting like a cornered animal.I just think this guy might not want to admit defeat and step down. What occurs to me is hearing a little while back some Bush people talking about delaying the election in case of a terrorist attack.I wonder...if we get to just a few days before the election and Georgie boys numbers are weak if he might make up some BS story about serious indications of a terrorist attack and suspend the election. He could pull all sorts of nonsense in that time.I am preparing myself for some wild shit in the weeks ahead. If Bush loses badly tonight Bush and his people will go into panic mode, things could get VERY ugly.

13. An alternative would be an election morning attack to depress turnout... |
|
and setup a "touchscreen theft".
The big "Iran Invasion" attack could then come anytime in the next four years.
But I agree, the next few weeks will be VERY DANGEROUS.
