Has Bush Lost The Eye Of The Tiger?
Much like Rocky Balboa, the diminutive Texan let himself go soft by surrounding himself with yes-men and a bullied media. The result was the same - Mr. T kicked both their asses, as well as their pride's asses. Once the bubble burst, the sudden rush of oxygen left each pulverized and demoralized.

Bush's recent speech was a clear concession of his need to say things when Kerry is not physically present. He has to be going into tonight's debate deeply shaken and a little stirred.

Sure he is going to doodle on his paper to avoid too many facial expressions, but Bush has to know that he has nothing to run on and he is up against someone that is clearly better at the game then he is.

Bush's only hope is for a win with an outside strategy - maybe going over-the-top (another great Stallone flick) on the folksiness and optimism, maybe heading straight to ad hominem avenue, maybe just lying a bunch about everything. Whatever the case may be, I have to think that Bush and the evildoers around him have to be sweating in their socks right about now.

Advise to Bush: Don't look at the polls (really).

Prediction: Pain.

...God I've always hated that phrase. And the song. :puke:

All that being said: what was the question again?

2. It seems pretty clear from the ads they've launched recently...
that ad hominem is what they're going to ride to the finish line. Terror alerts, claims that Kerry will raise taxes on EVERYONE, etc.

6. Poles To Withdraw From Iraq? I Forgot!
WARSAW, Poland – Poland should withdraw its troops from Iraq by the end of next year, Polish leaders said yesterday, the first time the U.S. ally has indicated a time frame for pulling its soldiers out of the war-torn nation.

In Washington, a senior White House official said the U.S. administration did not believe Poland had changed its position.

"Their position remains the same – that their troops would be there as long as it takes," the U.S. official said, speaking on condition of anonymity. "The Poles have made clear their position is one where any decisions they make will be mission-driven."
