Well I may not be Joe Trippi, Ron Reagan, or Joe Scarborough, but I’d like to think I have an inside look at the second presidential debate that those guys don’t have. Here at Washington University, step foot outside your dorm and BOOM … you’re absolutely bombarded with liberal propaganda. Yesterday I saw a 30-foot long “Kerry/Edwards” sign being lugged around by a couple students who looked like they came straight from Woodstock. While the liberals can have their giant signs, if a conservative is spotted with something as imperceptible as a pin on their shirt, they are assailed with the proverbial Wash U interrogative, “You’re a Reeeee-p-uuu-b-l-i-c-aaaaa-nnn?” Well, I’m here today to tell all of the Chris Matthews groupies out there that “YES, I am a Republican” – and my childish speaking candidate is gonna kick your latte sipping candidate’s tail on November 2nd.

Ok, that’s enough of the emotional appeal for now. Let’s handicap the debate. I’m not going to sit here and pretend that my boy won the first debate – because, truthfully, he got smashed. Millions of “undecided” voters told Zogby and Pew to mark them up in the Kerry column (Who are these undecideds anyway? Jane Fonda surrogates? A mysterious group indeed.). Well, Bush’s task Friday night is to sway those undecideds back. Cheney solidified the base on Tuesday … Bush must reach out to the middle on Friday. Let’s face it, most people made up their mind a long, long time ago. Bush’s base is safe, but if he doesn’t reach out to the leaners out there, it may be time to head back to Crawford and catch up on a little fly fishing. And Scarborough, keep those Hardball guys in check – especially that Reagan guy…he certainly is a character.

<snip> :puke:

This is the type of kid I'd love to see hauled into his local Selective Service office and shipped off to fight them "terrorists" that inconvenience his self-absorbed life. I'd gladly pay for his plane ticket to Baghdad (one way of course).

The sad thing is this goon will go on to become a corporate lawyer or some aparachnik in the GOOP inner sanctum and never have to feel any ramifications.

1. I wanna buy this kid a drink
It makes beating the shit out of him easier...less resistance.

I'm not taking this shit anymore. NO LONGER. In social situations, when people are talking politics, and some one says something fascist, I'm calling them on it...

3. He "solidified the base,"
except for those right wing f*ckers that think homosexuals should be locked up with the key thrown away.

one of those same kind of ignorants saw my Kerry button and
started chanting "4more years" I was already out the door
before I could respond, but its not worth it sometimes
At least my candidate and the next President can speak english

5. the generalizations are what piss me off. "looked like they
came from woodstock"...... "latte sipping"........

well, i came from a starbucks in an affluent area of nashville a couple of hours ago, and it was filled with little dickheads with lots of mousse in their hair, horn-rimmed black glasses, and t-shirts that came down past their wrists. all with "w" stickers on the back of their leased suvs.

on another board this morning, i saw where someone typed (and my guess is, with a straight face) that you could spot a liberal by his haircut and eyeglasses.

7. And mess up his nice cozy life???
From one who protested in college in the 70's...and has one in school and another a year away, this scum deserves to be yanked by the short-hairs...and his yuppie parents, too.

Sometimes I think our protests in the 60's & 70's worked too well. It scared the government into playing world's policeman and a generation grew up without knowing how intrusive and cancerous a war can be. I won't even go into making sacrafices...these are goons who feel cheap oil is their due and is worth the deaths...who show their "bluster" by the size of their SUV and excesses in their lifestyles.

I kinda feel like we're at about 1966...just before the Vietnam War started to hit home. Deferments were rather easy to get (ask Crashcart) and those who were drafted were the unseen (blacks, PWT). I pray we don't have to revisit what happens next.

10. Hmmmm...
"my childish speaking candidate is gonna kick your latte sipping candidate’s tail."

He actually sounds proud that his candidate can't speak his mother tongue.

Amazing.

11. Not going to happen. Like their adult counterparts, chickenhawks
support the war just as long as it's not them being sent to fight it.

12. Even Worse...How Many Of These Assholes Are On Scholarship
Either funded by the state or through perks created by the Repugnicans to give their kids free rides through the system...starting from home schooling all the way up. These hypocrites grew up in a bubble of self-indulgence (yep, just like their chickenhawk parents) and suck off the system they claim they're independent of.

Here's hoping their parents comfy jobs get outsourced and junior has to come home and help pay some bills.
