These people (Rove, Cheney, Hughes, et al) are all certifiably insane. Never try to get inside the head of a loony tune - It's dangerous. They will do anything they damn well please and it will probably so outrageous, egregious and absurd that no one could have anticipated it anyway.

Democrats just need to absorb the GOP treachery, and respond forcefully, but also in a thoughtful, dignified and measured way. That is all we can do.
