I saw the map on electoral-vote.com and it said that Virginia was barely bush. Is there any chance Kerry could take VA?

Northern VA is fired up for Kerry and African Am vote should be strong. If RW turnout down south-west way is poor it could happen.

which tends to be more progressive than the rest of the state so my perspective may be skewed, but I see more Kerry/Edwards signs and bumper stickers than I do for Chimp/Crashcart. If Kerry does take Virginia then we may be looking at a blowout.

the problem is that the campaign leaders cannot or don't want to take the risk of spending resources (time and ad buys) here when they think they have a better chance at comparable or bigger states. Without this (and despite the local Dems doing a lot anyway) they aren't capitalizing on this chance. I don't think they can win if Edwards is not here a lot more than he has been (more important than Kerry being here--except in Norfolk area), IMHO because lots of Virginians see themselves as Southerners. And they need ads to reach a lot of people.
