Crawford newspaper ideas. Update

I was asking for an OK to put an ad in the Crawford Iconoclast Newspaper. I got no Ok's so I have decided to just go it alone. I think we should all do the same. Sorry It could have been good. I still think donations, subscription or a banner ad will help them. I wwant to support anyone who goes out on a limb to Support John Kerry.

I like your ideas of getting a subscription. You should post details for the paper here again.

If anyone has an advertising budget for a product/service that's available to thier local readership that would be a nice gesture, although perhaps placing your company open to a backlash (I'm sure one or two FReaks subscribe to it now just for the purpose of persecuting thier advertisers)

Here's my idea:

Write a letter to them and other news sources. Make mention of the details that we know about the persecution they've suffered, and express your dissappointment of that and support of the paper to hold whatever opinion they like. Note that you've never heard of pro-Bush papers getting targetted with threats and persecution. Just like the Iconoclast wasn't last election when they supported Bush or during the lead up to war when they again supported Bush.

Draws a stark comparison between "us" and "them".

A letter to the editor goes a long way. If it's picked up by a paper with a large readership, great. If it goes to the Iconoclast then print it or not, they're feeling our support.
