Kerry should use "hard work" to bludgeon * to death tonight. |
|
Any time George tries to suggest something Kerry says can't be done, he just comes right back with: "Well Mr. President, I'm sure we all know what hard work it will take... and if you aren't up to it, and you appear to be saying you aren't, I'll gladly be the one to step in and get it done."
Can't bring France or Germany in on Iraq? "Well, we'll take you at your word that it's too much hard work for you Mr. President, but I'll get it done."
Can't fund all the homeland security initiatives that need to be instituted? "Well, I'm sure you know what you're capable of so I'll believe you when you say it's too much hard work for you Mr. President, but I'll get it done."
Or something along similar lines.

2. My grand dad used to tell me . . . |
|
Edited on Fri Oct-08-04 02:53 PM by djg21
that "if it wasn't hard, they wouldn't call it 'work.'"
As an aside, how hard can Shrub be working hard if he takes so much vacation time at his "ranch" and at Camp David. In the first year of his presidency alone, he took three months of vacation.
It must be nice. Could someone here please give me a job paying $150,000 a year, with lifetime benies and three months off each year? Pretty please! I'll work hard to work hard at working hard on working hard! I promise.

3. I'd like one of those jobs too please. |
|
And as a bonus I promise I won't embarrass myself on national TV. That should be worth something.

4. Whatever, believe Kerry could really do some damge tonight |
|
if all goes well. Think about what has occurred in last few days.
1) Bremer confirms there was not enough ground troops for the job at the beginning.
2) Runsfield confirms no connnection between Iraq and terrorists or 9/11.
3) The Iraq report comes out and tells us the WMDs were destroyed in 1991 and Sadam's power or danger was diminishing instead of getting stronger (no imminent threat).
4) The jobs report comes out today showing less jobs than they were predicting confirming the first president to lose jobs ever. Jobs were gained during WWII, Vietnam, etc.
All this so Kerry certainly has some ammo for tonight.
May the gods be with him.

I don't think he should do it unless Bush gives him a huge opening right there on stage.

I guess it was TOO HARD to read the entire PDB in early august - the one that declared Osama Bin Laden determined to strike the US.
That was too hard - much too hard work.....

Every time a voter asks an economic question, Kerry responds with "I know you work hard for what you have" and just let it sit there.
