Should Kerry shake Bush's hand?
I think instead he could look in Bush's ears for an earpiece or lift the back of Bush's jacket to see if there's a wire.

4. Yeah, I was thinking the same thing
Shake his hand and give him a nice firm pat on his "bulge" (on his back!).

15. thumping it a couple times should give bush a nice shot of feedback
as well as letting him know he's got his number.

i'd prefere he yank it off, but that might be too far for some.

7. Why don't we know for sure what was on his back during 1st debate?
Somebody has to frisk him down. Supposedly the moderator of the last debate assured everyone that the Pres. was not wearing a wire,
but what was on his back. Maybe a pretend slim and rip off his jacket!

9. Why not just tug down his pants while he's at it, eh?
Silly. :) Kerry won't need a Bush "wardrobe malfunction" to make his points this evening.

RTP.

11. How about this?
After Kerry shakes Bush's hand, Kerry should look at his own hand in disgust and then wipe it off with a napkin.

12. He should just pat him on the head an offer him an icecream.

He should hand * his coat, and ask for a cup of coffee.

Give * a cell phone "In case your earpiece shorts out".

Kerry: "I'll talk slow and use small words you can understand shorty.."

14. Well, of course, it's the polite thing to do, BUT
I would caution him to avoid touching his face until he finds some antibacterial soap and washes his hands.

We don't want him to catch Bush's stupid.

16. It would be a disaster if he didn't.

I remember the flap when Clayton Williams lost to Ann Richards
http://www.offthekuff.com/mt/archives/004073.html

There were many reasons why Clayton Williams lost the 1990 Texas Governor's race to Ann Richards despite the large lead he held in the polls through most of the campaign. The turning point for him was probably when he refused to shake hands with Richards before a televised debate. Williams, a political novice who'd ridden his personal fortune and a load of folksy charm to the Republican nomination and favored status in the general election, was perceived as boorish and rude for this stunt, and his poll numbers, already slipping due to a number of other gaffes, slid further downward.
