Will the Redsox winning the world series help Kerry?
What do you think? Or will it have no effect?

17. Boston folks
should be more original than that. And if the Yankees suck so much, how come the Sox haven't beaten the Yankees in almost 100 years?

3. It'll keep ME happy...
in fact, if the Red Sox win the World Series, and Kerry takes care of Bush on Nov. 2nd... I think I may just LOSE ALL CONTROL... nobody would see me for a week... I'd probably LITERALLY learn to fly or something...

10. could have the opposite effect...
Personally, I am fervently hoping that the Red Sox win the series AND Kerry wins the election, (A GIRL CAN DREAM!)

BUT, I'm a little worried:

Game 7, if there is a game 7, will be on October 31. That only gives Red Sox nation, the core of which comprised entirely of Blue States, ONE DAY to get sober enough to wake up and vote.

18. Let me put it this way - as a longtime Yankees fan. . .
I'd rather see the Yankees lose to the Twins or the Red Sox than Kerry lose to Bush.

19. We can shake on that
"I, CitySky, a Red Sox fan, would rather see John Kerry win the White House than the Red Sox win the series."

gulp.

That was, like, a HUGE personal defining moment for me.

I am flabbergasted that a member of the Red Sox Nation would make such a statement.
