My opinion is that there will be MORE viewers, even though it is Friday night.
That taping thing and that tivo thing really work, too. :)
The real story will be if something unusual happens.

3. Good reason for us to email the pundits. |
|
Edited on Fri Oct-08-04 05:32 PM by Eric J in MN
Please tell a pundit NOT to declare Bush the winner just because he has a pleasant style tonight. Please tell a pundit to judge by which candidate talks honestly about the issues, and has better solutions. A list of pundit emails is at: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x816939

4. Thursday night is biggest ratings night, Tuesday close second |
|
Friday is, I believe, the lowest, or perhaps Saturday. Since Friday night is the lowest, and this is the one that * is supposed to do well in, I'd say it might work to our advantage.

I think the media has been more fair than expected on the first two debates, and if GW screws the pooch again, there will probably be bigger ratings in pointing that out than in declaring a tie.
I'm just trying to think positively for once.

6. Probably less than the other debates this year, but there are several |
|
reasons.
It's FRIDAY! Lots of people go out!
The first debate always get's the most viewers.
The baseball game is on!
Lots of people will only put up with so much politics. With all the ads on every chanel, they're just sick of it all. Especially those who have already decided how they are going to vote.

8. They handed out free symphony tickets @ the sr. ctr. today, and |
|
I've been wondering why there were all those extra symphony tickets for tonight. People watching the ball game? People going out elsewhere Friday night? People watching the debate? Naw, couldn't be. Usually I'd jump on symphony tickets, but I've got a cold. Hey--maybe that's it. Cold and flu season.

9. I think it was planned this way by George Jr, to keep people from watching |
|
Particularly this debate, which he thought would be his worst.
I don't think the plan will actually work now, though. Too many people are too energized.
