Tonight the Chimp-in-Charge will make fun of himself... |
|
And the press will fawn over his self deprecation. Comparing him to Ronald Reagan and his second encounter with Mondale. One for the gipper chimpy. It's the ninth inning and the idiot is coming to bat. May his true colors shine.

I've thought that all day. He'll make a funny about "hard work" ... he'll use that line from his speech the other day about "making a face".
And, yes, the corporate media will think Bush is charming.
But he's such an idiot that he will attack, attack, attack Kerry every chance he gets. He'll be mean and petty.
I also think the Kerry team has prepared JFK to deliver some words or lines that have the potential to drive Bush around the bend ... Like the reference to his daddy last week.
Bush may also be concentrating so much on controlling his physical quirks that he forgets what he is supposed to be saying.

it will look sad and pathetic, especially with Kerry in the room. I think Bush has jumped the shark. He's become Norma Desmond.

8. The cutsey self-depreciation thing worked in his speech at the Convention |
|
but that was at least in part because of the audience.
But I agree that Bush has a hard time hiding his anger and arrogance. I certainly do hope that the Kerry camp has thought of effective ways to goad him. It shouldn't be too hard!
Watching Bush on Dr. Phil last week, I had the feeling that what he was doing was trying very hard to control those physical quirks of his. He didn't entirely succeed, and he looked absolutely bizzare. It was clearly very "hard work!" Even old Dr. Phil was looking at Bush kind of warily, as though he was a little afraid of setting him off in some way.

7. Let's hope enough people witness the debate first hand |
|
because that would counter any GOP spin. I think a LOT of people were freaked out by Bush's performance at the first debate. He appeared downright insane. They are going to expect more than self deprecating humor from him tonight.
