St Louis rally info....
Wow! The Bushbots are out in force at Wash U. While some Kerry folks were over at Big Bend and Forsyth making a good show for television, many Bushbots were in the free speech zone chanting "four more years." Some LBGT kids from Wash U gave them a run for their money and tried to out chant them but the Bushbots were numerous. They just kept on coming!

They were carrying large */C 04 signs and large sandals (to represent flip flop). One of them had a large sign with a picture of Kerry at an anti war rally in the 1970s at which Jane Fonda was also an attendee. The sign read, "not Fonda Kerry."

You know a thought came to me this afternoon....the Bushbots, females included, were chanting "we want Bush" and "we love Bush." Considering his stance on things related to homosexuality isn't that going against the pug agenda? Just didn't realize the pug tent was so big and welcoming.

The police presence was extreme. They were outfitted in full riot gear.

In addition to the free speech zone sanctioned by the university and the debate folks there was also a rally at a nearby park on the corner of Big Bend and Northmoor. This rally was less mainstream and included speeches by David Cobb of the Greens and Peroutka of the Constitution party. When I saw a couple of people carrying hand made signs for Peroutka, I asked them, "isn't George W right wing enough for ya?" They laughed.
