A sock in the jaw to anyone that calls me a Freeper. (Earpiece-gate) |
|
It used to be that singers and speakers always had monitor speakers in front of them so they could hear their own voices. Musicians know what I'm talking about. In a big and possibly noisy room you simply cannot hear your own voice. I'll spare you the technicals. Also, you can't hear the other person's voice.
Nowadays, we're seeing a move to in-ear monitors rather than those big clunky speaker cabinets pointed at the person speaking. These in-ear monitors use a transmitter for wireless operation. At first I thought this was the case.
But now I think it was likely an additional microphone. If you've ever watched a late night talk show you may have seen that the host and guests wear a clip-on mic and have either a desk mic or an overhead mic. This yields a better sound quality than a single microphone.
So, I think this is all likely just tinfoil. It could be what everybody's saying, but not likely.
Geez, I think he would have been a little bit better if he had had help.

1. Did John Kerry have a big bulge on the back of his |
|
suit coat? I don't think so. I haven't heard anything like that about Kerry so, why did JUST the idiot-in-chief have one? Also, at one point in the debate he yelled, "Let me finish!" and NO ONE was talking to him. Can you explain that away too?

the F word is not allowed here! I would never call you a thing like that!
Anyway, you have a good point and I'm glad I read what you have to say.

not calling you a fr33per, but it would have made a WHOLE lot more sense to have a monitor set-up clipped to his belt.
Also, Kerry would have had one, and when the Kerry campaign was asked about it, they said they hadn't heard anything about it -- if Kerry had used one, it the spokesman would have known.
And if they were using the "dual mic" set up you mention, you would have seen a microphone clipped to his lapel or tie.
Sorry pal, I smell an electronic rat.

But I personally quite enjoy the prospect of them being knocked off their stride to deal with ridiculous questions like this if they manage to get some media legs. It's poetic justice.
