Not a momentum killer but not a decusive win either. |

My take:
Bush did much better.... but he did not propose he attacked. without much support in evidence. Tactically7 he probably had no choice but it was standard fair probably not strong enought to win over the undecideds.
For Kerry... I swear to go... If I Hear "I have a plan...." one more time I am gonne go through the roof.
Did Kerry take it to the president on Iraq? Does the criticism need to be muted? that is the question of the night. Kerry was strong but there was hardly anything new on thaat front/
What Kerry failed to do more than anything else... Is tag the the Presedent with the label of something between a liare and incompetant. We win when Geogege Bush is the issue... They win when Kerry is the issue.
A draw? maybe....a push...definitely.
See you in Tempe.

Kerry should have been able to more forcefully point out Bush's incompetance and lack of understanding issues. Where is the "sixteen months after mission accomplished we still don't have control on the ground" line? Where was the " A day after Al-qaeda might have mastermind an attack on a Hiton Hotel in Egypt is not the time to start taking credit for having destroyed seventy-five percent of Al-qaeda. Doesn't sound as if your facts are grounded in reality to me." ETC, ETC ETC Culminating in John Kerrys final answer, when he could have very humorously answered, "You know that a very unfair question. How could the President possibly give full justice to the enormity of his mistakes in two minutes?"
