TALKING POINTS

Kerry

Once again John Kerry demonstrated the strength and character we need in a President. He made it clear he could lead as Commander in Chief.

Kerry connected with the audience, and struck a chord with the country. He was clear that he’d be a fighter for the middle class, and left no doubt he would hunt and kill the terrorists and keep us safe.

Kerry held Bush accountable for the failures of the last four years. He told America the truth, and offered a plan for a fresh start on the economy, Iraq and the war on terror. He can defend America and fight for the middle class.

Bush

Bush seemed defensive, angry and tense. His credibility is crumbling – all he does is make excuses.

He is out of touch with reality on Iraq. He has no plan for jobs and health care. Bush just doesn’t get it, so he can’t fix it.

Bush is getting desperate, playing the politics of fear. He pretends our problems don’t exist, and he won’t level with the American people.

The Choice:

John Kerry came out on the side of the middle class. George Bush sided with the powerful and the well-connected.

1. More relavent talking point
All he could muster in his defense is what a "bad" guy Kerry is. He brought almost nothing to the debate other than, "don't vote for the other guy."

All he has left is to attack, because his record is indefensible.

2. Just Sent this to All Media Outlets in Texas
Again, the nation saw tonight why John Kerry should be our next president.

The current president is running a campaign based on lies about John Kerry instead of running on his own record. That's because ALL that this president has accomplished is to drain the U.S. Treasury and destroy environmental protections for the benefit of his wealthy friends who own the energy companies, the insurance companies, the drug companies, and the military services companies like Halliburton. John Edwards was right on Tuesday when he said that the American people can't afford another four years of this!

John Kerry will represent the American people, not just the wealthiest 1%. I will be proud to call him my president.

3. Bush had a disturbing "Dean scream" moment tonight
when he bulldozed Gibson. He had simply lost it; he seemed very unstable, even downright scary!

4. I believe Gibson had a duty to ENFORCE the debate rules
and he didn't. It should be made clear that these rules were primarily at the request of George Bush and Bush was allowed to skirt them...

That will be the gist of my LTE's
