Good, because that IS the most noteworthy thing of the debate.

4. Bush acted like he was at one of his own rallies!
You're not supposed to get that hot in these town hall things. It was like he was at one of his own rallies.

6. I fired off and LTTE to my local paper
I was disgusted with Bush's macho posturing during the debate. Does he really think the American people will believe he's strong just because he yells, rants, and makes blanket accusations of Sen. Kerry's character?

10. Excuse me, but the "Dean Scream" was wholly manufactured, and
he was leading a group to cheer them up.

Bush's screaming was testy and peevish, half way to psychotic!

maybe Bob Dole's secret bank account finally ran dry.

Wolfie doesn't have his bribe money any more.

5. However
That idiot Schneider said that Gen. Shinseki was already slated to retire and Leslie said he could not understand why Kerry keeps on with that (direct quote) "so-called fact."

7. I had thought Shinseki was asked to leave a few months early
of his already stated retirement.

20. Shinseki was forced
...into retirement because Bush would not reappoint him as Army COS. The truth is they hated each other, weecowboy used to go out of his way to stab him in the back. Remember, the Army secretary was Thomas "Enron" White. It was an ugly situation all around, and the army is still in disarray because no one backed Shinseki on his plans and the direction he wanted to take the forces. Shinseki only made one real error during his term, and that was those idiotic berets. Other than that he did a great job, considering the crap he had to take in the last part of his tour.

22. This is true. Kerry is wrong on this one technically.
After ast week's debate, Wes Clark said something to the effect that the Gen retired because another was appointed to his position ( or the next higher position) before he retired so he had nowhere else to go but out.

26. Wes Clark explained this to Schneider, but ...
he chooses to ignore what Clark said what the Pentagon inside story is:
Bush appointed a new Army Chief of Staff ONE YEAR before Shinseki was scheduled to retire, effectively "cutting his legs out from underneath him" (quote from Clark).

Kerry said he "retired" Shinseki, not that he "fired" him.

8. We should send e-mail to the cable and regular network news guys

about Bush* being angry and out of control. He SCARED the children.

Some of them (Brokaw, Russert) don't seem to have seen his behavior as strange, are actually saying the debate was pretty even, so I'm going to let them know I've never seen anything like it in presidential debates, and I am not comfortable knowing he has the nuclear "football" near him at all times.

Rage is not presidential.

21. For the first 45 minutes or even longer, Bush answered every question
by yelling his answer back at the voter and the audience. And when Gibson tried to ask another question, Bush yelled at him and went on yelling a rebuttal he wasn't supposed to have.
