Bush is so proud of how he refused to support the $87billion bill at first
An open letter to JohnKerry.com follows:

Please drive home that in a time of war we cannot afford to slash taxes the way Bush chose to. Americans are patriotic people who are willing to make sacrifices to help support our troops. You first voted for a version of the $87billion which was funded through taxes. The President chose to crush that version. The President pushed a second rewritten bill which put our nation's fiscal security at risk by instead charging it to an ever growing deficit.

In times of war this country has always been willing to make sacrifices to support our troops. This President gave those making more than $200,000/year priority over our funding our troops.

Now the President is proud to announce how you voted for the $87billion before you voted against it. The $87billion bill you supported which financed the war through taxes was crushed by this President. He refused to support the troops in combat until the bill included tax breaks for the wealthy. This President had his priorities wrong then and he has his priorities wrong now.

3. Add to that the FACTS
that the VAST MAJORITY of the AMERICAN PUBLIC opposed BUSH'S VERSION...as did the Senate REPUBLICAN MAJORITY.

The Senate ONLY passed bush's version AFTER bush threatened to veto the entire bill and NOT ALLOW ONE SINGLE CENT to our troops' support.

bush USED OUR TROOPS FOR BLACKMAIL.
