1. Wow! from Salon to the New York Times |

in only six days. The right gets their wackiness from Drudge to the Washington Post in only one.

and if you think about it, Salon DID just publish this a day ago, right? From blog to salon, five days, from salon to NYT, one day. If I remember correctly, anyway... I'd say that Salon-->NYT is analogous to Drudge-->WaPo, despite the fact that Salon is way more credible than its counterpart.

6. It was a very strangely shaped "rumple" indeed... |
|
One that rumpled just like a radio transmitter and wire might...
The Milli Vanilli Presidency. Milli Vanilli had their awards taken away, so Bush should definitely have his presidency revoked if that is the standard.
Now that this story has been "validated" by publication in the Times, there is no reason why the Kerry campaign or even surrogates shouldn't seize on it. Put the president on the defense right when he doesn't need to be. He'd certainly much rather be talking about his rec... erm... uh... attacking John Kerry than dealing with questions about whether he was wired for a debate. I mean, if it were proved true, he would have been caught cheating. It certainly adds to a certain unfavorable perception of the pResident.

it is so freaking obvious. the little wire part of the bulge going up gives it all away.

4. Campaign and White House officials said the bulge was definitely not a |
|
receiver. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. I believe that explaination. :eyes: Liars. I believe nothing they say.
They were caught and now I would like to see an explaination other than, no it definately wasn't a receiver. HELLO!!! Then WHAT the hell was it?

5. WH denials mean nothing except that all is not right. |
|
"There was nothing under his suit jacket," said Nicolle Devenish, the Bush campaign's communications director.
"It was most likely a rumpling of that portion of his suit jacket, or a wrinkle in the fabric." ------------------ Bush wears extremely expensive (Oxxford) suits, costing somewhere in the $2,000 to $14,000 range.
If I spent this much money on a suit that did this I'd be pissed.

I think " roving" or "pulling an rove" would be a great way to describe someone lying or pulling a dirty trick for their own benefit. I have used it a couple of times I have said "You're Roving me" instead of "you're shitting me". People got it. Below are some examples.
A co-worker backstabbing coworkers = trying to Rove his way into a better job
Cheating on a test = "Roving to the top of the class"
Find out your sibling crashed the car and managed to blame you = Bro, you completely roved me!!
I hope you get the idea. I think it could be up there with santorum.

10. I'd doubted the whole receiver theory before tonight |
|
But, of course, tonight it wasn't there.
Really suspicious that it was there in the first debate & missing in the second - I'd originally thought it was a Kevlar vest buckle - but it would've been there tonight if it were.
Someone posted a story about a tooth implant receiver - the gimp was really working his jaw this evening - didn't do that in the last debate.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think there's something to all of this.

14. Kerry wouldn't have been able to turn off a tooth transmitter with a slap |
|
on the back, the way some say he might have as he greeted Stupid last Thursday night. A swap-out from a between-the-shoulder-blades setup to a dental implant in the intervening week would explain Dubya's relatively better performance this week, too.
I really DON'T believe all this "Emperor's Club" inspired paranoia, though it's fun to play along as if I did!

18. On Countdown, Tucker Askew said it was Bush's spine |
|
Said it in a bragging way, like his boy's got a lot of spine.
Well if that's part of a spine, that man's got some kinda horrible bone disease. Just one more infirmity to add to a long long list.

19. Well I wrote a letter to the editor in the NYTimes. |
|
Edited on Sat Oct-09-04 04:55 AM by dorktv
To The Editor:
I was surprised to find that there was such a strange bulge with President Bush's suit with the first debate (The Mystery of the Bulge in the Jacket by Elizabeth Bumiller, Oct. 8th). Perhaps he needs a new tailor?
I am sure he would not have any electronic devices under his suit as he would not have broken the rules of the debate. It is not like we cannot trust our President to be honest and fair, after all, he tells us he is all the time.

... or repeating from memorization like a 5th grader giving a book report in front of the class.
A feed would do that, I think.
ON EDIT: OMG !!! That would explain his 'yelling' too ~ ever notice how people wearing headphones tend to yell at people around them, because they adjust their own personal volume to the volume they hear in their heads ? If the feed was too loud, it would have caused HIM to raise his voice as well !!!!
