1. Bush will NOT put up with the reinstitution of slavery.
Not on his watch. You can reinstate the poll tax, repeal the anti-lynching laws and the anti-miscegenation laws - but by God, slavery is where he draws the line!

I have not re-watched it yet. But I think he accidentally said something in that segment about the Constitution NOT protecting our rights?

3. I was waiting for Kerry to remind Bush the Constitution counted slaves
Each slave was specifically counted as a fraction of a person in the Constitution. The "strict constructionist" therefore would have to be pressed to a) call for a return to slavery, or b) admit that judicial "activism" was warranted in recognition of the effect of the Emancipation Proclamation.
