Is it always gonna be this way--the rich win-- the poor lose |
|
My mom--a lifelong Democrat --at 84 years old said HER dad taught her to always vote Democratic because the rich would win if you voted Republican. This was in the 1930's BEFORE WW2. As a southern farmer he knew he was being f***** then by the rich guy. I know not all rich guys are dicks but what is it about the mighty green back that makes one sell their soul?

look at countries where the poor have been abused, there comes a leader or a uniter where organization gets things turned around and going in a more fair direction. Until that leader or time, the rich will win.

Government is for the rich by the rich - the difference between the two parties is the democrats have a social conscience.
I seriously looked at things after that and realized the rethugs have a lot of rehtoric that makes it seem like they will help you - like tax cuts - but the cuts are for our services, our parks, our roads, they never cut what I want them to cut - their perks - their flowers on the tables - their high priced meals and hor duerves -
So I realized I had been duped for my middle years because I believed they were going to do something good for the people - that is the way it sounds - but when you look around there are so many things cut - the park system is in a shambles and our national parks are in danger - I love our national parks- I much rather have them - then more bombs and military wounded - or the president flying all over the country with his cars and limos and the cost of all the protection
in other countries people aren't as guarded as here - our system needs fixing
and yes many sell their soul because they need a job to feed their family and keep a roof over their head - lots of people are unwilling to be whistleblowers because of the consequences - look at what BushCo has done to whistleblowers - hard to fix a corporation whose sole purpose is to the shareholders - IT has no conscience - IT's sole purpose is to make money
Our country is own by corporations

5. Thanks for your post. You are absolutely correct. I think also |
|
if some of the people would look at the $200.00 or so they got back from Bush in the so called tax cut, they would see they are paying that $200.00 back and more in higher state taxes, bus fees, parking, other expenses that the wealthy is even unaware about because they never have to use them.

6. A very telling comment from a Republican relative re social conscience |
|
I recently had the opportunity to put in a good word for some people I supervise at my temp job. None of us has any benefits and there was a chance we might get some.
My Republican relative told me that I should be tooting my own horn and let the rest of the people take care of themselves.
Other people I told this to said this was this was cool.
That's the difference between conservatives and liberals.
Conservative: Me
Liberal: We
