9. I think he was just nervous...
...they told him to act "lively" so that's what he did.

20. No coffee in the Situation Room
What was up with the weird-ass reference to going into the basement of the White House? He looked the Generals in the eye via TV screen! Ok.... That is a weird story, Mr. President.

Also, toward the end, the President called someone 'haters.'

Yo. G dub to the B in the house. Did his earpiece tune in 89.5FM for a second there, or what?

12. I don't think it's coke but it is some kind of stimulant.
Possibly Provigil or something like that - in a real high dose.

What I noticed was how fast he would jerk his head around.

He was totally out of control and you definitely could see the drug wearing off at the end.

god help us all.

15. Yes, a definite stimulant - he had weird facial twitches and was very
wide eyed. Funny, the drug did wear off after a while - that would explain Wolf's comment that he "screamed" for the first half of the debate...

23. It was coke
Just consider the timing. Graph the time of his hyperactivity as it passed into mellowed loquatiousness.

An adrenaline buzz lasts much less time, a caffeine buzz lasts longer, a speed buzz lasts *way* longer. A coke buzz unfolds just like you saw it unfold tonight.

I had never bought into these theories about Bush before, but I know what I saw tonight.

13. Caffienated;Cokinated;; whatever --- but not presidential
Of course that's an outsider/Canadian opinion.
Put a toque on his head, put 'im on a skidoo and ...yes, he could be one of ours --- but prime minister --NO---NO---NEVER... christ, we have our standards!

16. At least others are starting to notice that Bush is on something
His fixed stare, blinking, and occasional side-to-side rapid eye movements were bizarre, almost as bizarre as the Miami debate where he scowled and puckered his lips.

25. Bush changes personalities faster
than Madonna changes personas. I can't keep up any more. It kind of scary when you never know who pResident George is going to be today. Nice pResident or mean pResident. Happy pResident or mad pResident. Talk about flip flopping. Maybe W has a multiple personality disorder?

18. He needs Ritalin. I'm sure he's ADHD. Hyperfocusing is a symptom
and he's been hyperfocused on Iraq since he stole the presidency. He also, obviously, has a hard time waiting his turn.

19. Dan Quayle Redux
Does anybody remember the Dan Quayle/Bentson debates? If I remember correctly, during the first debate - the famous "You're no Jack Kennedy" debate - Quayle looked like a deer caught in the headlights the whole time. He actually looked scared, like somebody overcome with stage fright.

The next debate, they had obviously hammered into him the problems with his first debate, and the guy was out of control. He was waving his hands all around and yelling and dancing around behind the podium. It was hilarious.

I think something like that happened to George tonight. He was pushing too hard in the opposite direction, overcompensating. More annoying than funny, but the same basic problem, I think.

22. Shrub was at his Drug Store Cowboy Best
Complete with his heavy Southern drawl, to play into the MO crowd. He's as fraudulent as they come and it's clear his ACT is getting quite old. Most American Folks have watched this disgraceful president lurch from one disaster to another, lying his retarded ass off all the way and are tired of it.

I'm so proud of the way Kerry handled this Turkey AGAIN.
