Bush was much improved but Kerry was just rock solid.

He's hit his stride.

I loved his comments about "labels." It sure made Bush's comments look, well, bush league.

There's still a lot of miles before Nov. 2 and one more debate. Don't let up. We have to get the vote out for Kerry!

2. He was. But Bush didn't crap his pants so it's a draw.
Didn't you read the debate rules?

3. Bush was a scary buffoon.

I'm astounded that anyone could think his performance was even close to being 'good'. I'm more horrified than ever that this incompetent fucktard is in office. It's disconcerting that Americans think this is acceptable behavior for a Commander-in-Chief.

4. it probably played to the ideaologies of the viewers

it'll be interesting to see if the final verdict goes straight down party lines... I suspect most of the moderates were watching baseball or doing something else on a Friday night. If that's the case and the "lemme finish" moment gets "Dean screamed", that could benefit Kerry over the weekend. And the Senator Kennedy & "got wood" lies/slips.

5. Not delusional
The delusional are those who are saying Chimpy performed well or that the debate was "too close to call."

Kerry was excellent- I don't know how he could have been better.

Bush was still whiney, but Kerry seemed quite comfortable.

Debates are a good format for him.

8. Kerry has the advantage of being able to be himself in these debates
and he comes across as knowledgable, presidential, serious and empathetic

B* even though he tried hard at the beginning to control his impulses- can't "be himself". When he slips into true B* mode he turns off the majority of Americans

He comes across as uninformed, arrogant, dogmatic and in denial

The majority of Americans are finally seeing this,Thank God
