MSNBC Brian Williams was pointing out the so called mistakes made
by the Bush and Kerry in the debate and one was the Timber issue when Kerry said Bush got $84 and that was considered a small business owner and Bush denied it. Williams said it was brought out by someone on the internet, so here's my point the media is aware of people on the net getting the news that way and the media is following along using the finds so are they aware that they will soon be replaced and their jobs outsourced? So is the power really is in our hands as it seems?

3. Yes and no
I've heard mainstream media say that fact checking is done by the bloggers so much faster than they used to do it. However, bloggers usually don't have the resources to do investigative journalism.

4. factcheck.org
A web site that supposedly has the facts. They don't always, but did this time. It wasn't just the internet in general. Although, the story about Bush's bulge, which was evident again tonight, definitely came from the internet. YES, we do have power.

5. Blogs are a return to the day of the "penny dreadful"
They are self-critical, if they are any good, and self-monitoring, but any moron with a computer and a website can start up and publicise a blog.

It will all sort itself out over time but for awhile, at least, news and opinion are slipping into a delicious form of anarchy!
