Bush overcompensates for debate #2 |
|
In the first debate, Bush was stumbling, irritable , sighing and a face maker.
In the second debate, Bush was overly hyper, hostile, and whiney.
Which Bush will show up for # 3?

3. He had a good old time. |
|
He'll definitely be there for the third. At the end, you could see how happy he was that he didn't piss his own pants again -- he had a genuinely happy - relieved smile. It's kind of pathetic in a way, when a professional politician is happy to get through a 90 minute debate without blowing off one of his own feet and the public acccepts it, but that's where we are at this point.

2. bush is irritable this time, too |
|
And most of all he is very unlikable. He's hectoring, not at all connecting with people and certainly NOT warm!

4. Bush turned off male voters with debate #1 and |
|
turned off women voters with debate #2. Hesitant, stupid and wimpy for debate #1 really turned off everyone. Freepers may have liked the Debate #2 Bush, but he was just like little Ricky Lazio in the Hillary Clinton debate where all of the women said that little Ricky reminded them of their first husband.

5. Here is one comment posted on the IndyStar debate forum |
|
I think this speaks volumes.
Re: Who won the second presidential debate?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
While both made valid points tonight, one difference was clear to me. The difference between assertive and aggressive.
Kerry came across as very assertive. For the first time I really saw him as someone who could lead this country. He explained his so-called flip flops in a way I found acceptable.
However, at times Bush came across as aggressive; cutting off the moderator and basically shouting. Even when he did make statements I agree with, he did so in a manner i was uncomfortable with.
I am a registered Republican, but I can honestly say I am considering voting for Kerry as a result of tonight's debate.

There are LOTS of sane Republicans out there. Your Grand Old Party has been hijacked by wacko extremists. Time to take a stand, my dear. Your party will be destroyed by them if you do not vote to restore reason to it. You can strengthen your party by demanding that it behave responsibly and accountably and to standards of statesmanship. Sane republicans are CRITICAL in this election.
I look forward to discussing issues with you, resolving our differences, working out effective compromises in the nation's interests, and agreeing to disagree. This is how our democracy is meant to work -- well-informed and well-intentioned people seeking to craft compromises that serve both the interests of the wealthy and the workers and struggling -- not this coercion and character assassination and misrepresentation.
Otherwise -- eventually, my dear, they will move on from demonizing Democrats like me as "communist America haters" to start demonizing you, a moderate or even traditionally conservative Republican. They have been quite willing to character assassinate members of their own party.

This was a comment posted on another website. I thought it was important in that it showed how some repubs are now supporting Kerry.

Yes, I did.
I thought it was fairly miraculous that such a sane Republican managed to post 1000+ at DU, and was feeling really rosy about things, hence my emotional bipartisan gushing, so although i am redfaced about screwing up, it sure as heck makes more sense that you were quoting someone else.
Still nice of you to post this and show us how Bush is losing people, and Kerry is gaining them.

6. It depends on the next few days.... |
|
....if Kerry wins the spin war which he should since he won the debate Bush will be VERY desperate in the 3rd debate in which case damn near anything could happen.Even if the debate spin comes out a draw in the end(since the media won't be able to make this a clear Bush victory)Bush will be somewhat desperate. No matter what the other side says Bush needs a clear victory in at least one of these debates.I think in the 3rd debate Bush will behave more like he did tonight,he seems to get that way when things go bad for him,he'll start lashing out, yelling at Kerry, acting like a spoiled rich boy.

7. What is the format of the 3rd debate? |
|
I like it better when bush has to stand still with the camera in a close-up on him. I thnk he was making faces tonight too but the camera wasn't on him all the time.

I thought I might vote for Bush, but after these three debates, I don't see how I can. Kerry and Edwards have really impressed me.

No. He will not show up for Fight #3. Instead, he will have his buddy John Asscroft and Tommy Rich (misspelling intentional) issue another frigging Terror Alert, so he can avoid yet another humiliation.

17. The American Middle Class. |

I sure hope enough of them see how this Pres. and his Cabal is a disaster for them. The Grand Oil Party care not a whit for the majority of Americans. It is real obvious if one actually does just a bit of research into their actual policies, not just their rhetoric.
