St. Louis is the Gateway to the Kerry Presidency. |
|
St. Louis is the Gateway to the Kerry Presidency.
My fellow Americans, and particularly, my fellow St. Louisans, John Kerry proved to us that he should and will be our next leader.
We are the Gateway to the Kerry Presidency.
John Kerry delivered what the Show Me State wanted: Real Plans for Real Results.
John Kerry showed us a plan to get America working again. Kerry showed us that he will build a stronger and better economy by helping ordinary citizens instead of wasting money by giving it to Enron and other criminals. Kerry showed us that we can crack down on crime, including the corporations that break the law. George Bush kept saying he wanted more of his failed job policy. Bush refused to address the fact that his backward agenda has lost millions of jobs - a net loss of jobs for the first time since the Great Depression. Bush had no plan to stop crime, even the criminal actions of his close friends and biggest contributors. John Kerry showed us that we can make America more competitive in the global market and start adding jobs again. Kerry showed us that our economy can grow stronger and that we can keep our money out of the hands of crooks. Kerry showed us that we can enforce the law.
John Kerry showed us that he will bring Americans real National Security and actually make the Homeland more secure. George Bush's only plan to reverse his weakening of our security was to weaken our rights and to take away America's hard won liberty whenever he and John Ashcroft felt like it. John Kerry showed us that we can be safer through better coordination of law enforcement and the intelligence community while preserving our freedom.
John Kerry showed us that we can win in Iraq and that Kerry will be tougher on terror than Bush. George Bush didn't get that he is failing America by failing in Iraq. Bush just kept saying his Halliburton Hell is great for America. John Kerry showed us that America can be a global leader again by uniting our allies, speeding up the training of our friends and stop wasting money on companies that don't do the job.
John Kerry showed us a plan to fix America's ailing Health Care system. George Bush's attempts to blame patients for the failure of his crooked buddies in the greedy drug corporations were disturbing. John Kerry showed us that we can have legal accountability and still make Health Care affordable.
John Kerry showed us a plan to save Social Security and to fix and improve Medicare. George Bush's goal of more tax give-aways to the super-rich jeopardizes our safety net that protects Americans, especially children and senior citizens. Bush's attempts to keep senior citizens from bargaining for cheaper prescriptions are appalling. Bush's refusal to allow safe drugs from Canada after years of proof that they are safe is sad. John Kerry showed us that America can use common sense to save money on our bills.
John Kerry showed us a plan to actually leave no child behind by giving teachers and students the resources they need. Kerry showed us a plan to make a good education affordable for all Americans. George Bush offered no explanation of his failure to fund public education in America. Bush refused to ease the burden on American students and their families. John Kerry showed us that we can fund all levels of American Education and offer them to all Americans.
John Kerry showed us a real plan for energy independence and a bigger investment in America's future. George Bush offered the same broken promises of making energy policy in a way that benefits America instead of his oil buddies. John Kerry showed us that we can have the freedom to generate our own power and stop our reliance on the criminals that make Bush's decisions.
John Kerry showed us a plan for water that is safe to drink, air that is safe to breathe and land that is safe to live on, work on and let our kids play on. George Bush proved that he cares more about allowing his friends to poison America than protecting us. John Kerry showed us that we can once again have a safe environment.
John Kerry showed us a plan to help the middle class by lowering taxes for 98% of Americans. Kerry showed us a plan to massively reduce the deficit that would otherwise be a huge tax burden to the generations of Americans that will follow us. George Bush proved that he cares more about giving money to the super-rich than protecting Americans from his huge tax burden. John Kerry showed us that he can protect ordinary Americans, our children and our grandchildren from Bush's middle class destroying tax plan.
John Kerry will get America working again and make our economy stronger. Kerry will punish corporate crime instead of awarding it like Bush. Kerry will make Americans safer while protecting our liberty. Kerry will lead us to victory in Iraq, unite the allies, speed up training and stop war profiteering by Halliburton and other crooks. Kerry will make sure that America will have responsible doctors, lawyers and judges and cheaper medical treatment. Kerry will use common sense to make Health Care affordable to Americans. Kerry will make a better investment in America's schools and fund all levels of the American Education system and give all Americans the chance to improve themselves. Kerry will liberate Americans from foreign oil dependence and stop the reliance on the crooked oil companies. Kerry will make sure Americans are once again free from poison in our water, air and land. Kerry showed us that he will protect regular Americans, our children and our grandchildren from Bush's destructive tax plan. John Kerry showed us that he will be a better leader.
John Kerry proved to St. Louis and to all of America that we can do better than Bush. John Kerry proved he will do a great job as the next President of the United States of America.

Watching rerun and just saw Bush jumping out of his seat before Kerry was finished speaking. Bad form.

18. How much will Bush's lie about wood hurt him? |

This has the potential to break through the dense fog surrounding some voters' heads. How can we drive the point home?

I know I've got to get my butt out there more. The St. Louis metro area is vital and it disturbs me how apathetic this population is. I do volunteer and am doing duty in St. Charles this week. If you want to send me a PM, please feel free.

St. Charles isn't known as easy Democratic territory, but I believe many people (hopefully a solid majority!) in St. Charles will vote for Democrats this November (and for years to come). Naturally, we will have to do some hard work (the real kind, not Bush's vacation with press releases style).

24. You know what's funny? |

I have been complaining about assholes stealing my signs for a while. Just in this past 2 weeks, Kerry signs are sprouting all over my St. Charles County neighborhood and they're staying. It's not a losing battle at all here but yes, we are outnumbered and some of these people scare me.
It's hard work but I'm doing it and I'm not backing down. Did I tell you it's hard work? It IS hard work. So there.
P.S. It's hard work.

(No offense to Poland: If they had more than a few guys in Iraq, I'm sure they would be noticeable help)

20. Kerry will punish corporate crime instead of rewarding it like Bush. |

Kerry will punish corporate crime instead of rewarding it like Bush. Bush does "award" corporate crime (as payment to his big donors).

Awarding no-bid corporate welfare contracts to the likes of Halliburton not only has the appearance of impropriety -- it constitutes cronyism and corruption at it's worst.
