I'm quite concerned about what this means. The excitability, the grinding of the teeth, the tic ---- is it meth? Or what?

1. Antidepressants can cause teeth grinding:
http://www.mhsource.com/depression/news20.html

"Mayo Clinic psychiatrist John Michael Bostwick, M.D. and a Nebraska psychiatrist describe four patients who suffered symptoms of bruxism, including jaw clenching, headaches, tooth grinding and broken teeth, after they began taking Zoloft for relief of depression and anxiety. Their symptoms went away with the addition of another anti-anxiety drug, Buspar (buspirone). Their report was in the December issue of the Journal of Clinical Psychiatry."

5. Exactly. I've seen him do it before but, this time, his handlers warned...
...him to minimize his bizarre facial expressions, and he was grinding his teeth from the effort.

Welcome to DU, by the way! :hi:

8. early in the debate we saw he had his mouth open - just ajar a little
and thought that was odd - like he was mouth breathing or something. At DailyKos, a poster said she thought he might be wearing a dental device (like a retainer?) to help keep him from smirking.

I have to re-watch the thing and watch his jaw and mouth - he definitely was letting his lipless mouth hang open in the beginning.
