Folks, the numbers we're seeing in the polls are NOT mostly DU.
Edited on Sat Oct-09-04 12:54 AM by BullGooseLoony
Take heart- look at some of the polls we've hit. The vote numbers are sometimes in the low thousands. I even saw a few with just a few hundred. We've got power, but Kerry isn't winning these polls because of us. I'd estimate that somewhere between 1,000 and 3,000 DUers are participating in this. And, as far as I can tell, no one's voting twice.

The American people just aren't buying Bush's bullshit anymore.

2. We're talking an ending vote count of MILLIONS in these
sites like CNN and MSNBC.

If it's not representative of what the American people really believe, the only explanation is that people who use the internet are more inclined to be on John Kerry's side of things.

AND, I remember in the first debate, the ending numbers were something like Kerry winning 61% of the votes- and Tweety said they were exactly the same numbers as many of the non-online polls.

We can't screw with 2,000,000 votes. We'll really see what happens, here, when they're finished with the poll.

And, yes, the freepers truly ARE cutting their own throats by voting for Kerry. Stupid, stupid.

But, keep it up, Freepers.

Who won the debate?   * 847979 responses
Pres. Bush
32%
Sen. Kerry
68%

850,000 votes. You think WE did this? I don't THINK so.

14. Not a Chance
Those Right Wing Crazies would commit susicide before voting for Kerry on a internet poll, even as some weird kind of strategy (strategery?).

The online polls are accurately showing that Kerry again mopped the floor with Shrub.

Even the Beltway Boys on Fox, in their very indirect way, think so.

21. Not true. The freepers, via an earlier freeper thread,
were talking about doing just that. It was their plan to get the polls pulled and make us look bad. Stupid but there you are. It was their plan.

5. Seriously- and the media knows it.
That's why we're not hearing more about our "skewing" the polls. We just can't.

Not us, folks.

13. The Tenor on Free Republic tonight is Telling
They know Their “Boy” flopped again. They are trying to convince themselves..."It's not that Bad". "He came out swinging". LOL. There is a certain, dead still, nervousness that is undeniable over there.

The day Free Republic can't swing online polls, which should play to their strength, only shows how much America wants to get rid of the Fumbling Texas Bum in office. And that includes, I think, a heck of a lot of republicans.

It's all over but the shouting. John Kerry you were absolutely magnificent tonight...AGAIN.

11. It's not just DU but...
I've had an e-mail from my state Democratic Party, local Dems, and other groups all with links to online polls. Activists from both parties flood these polls. They aren't a representative sample of the American opinion. But Kerry wining them I think does show that the Dem activists are organized which is key.

That said we can see the debates are having an effect as state polls come out. The momentum Bush gained from his RNC is gone. People see Kerry as an alternative who can be president and are taking a second look at him. The swift boat BS some people believed now seems dead wrong.

I'm still thinking this election may be like 1980, close until the end then the people break with the current administration. Kerry by 53-56%, Dems take the Senate and either take the House or gain a lot of seats.

History shows Repub presidents either win big or lose big. Only close race with a Repub incumbent in 20th Century was in 1976, Ford lost with 49%.

12. Indeed, Mr. Looney
The numbers involved are far too great to reflect this forum alone. What they represent is the great energy and anger of Democrats of all stripes throughout our land. They are a harbinger of a surprising, to the punditicracy, anyway, turn out of Democratic voters in three weeks to sweep the criminals of the '00 Coup out of office.

"LET'S GO GET THOSE BUSH BASTARDS!"

22. Polls are not representative . . .
of the true population--which plays in Kerry's favor. Think of how many college students can't afford a telephone, but use a cell phone instead. All professional phone polls that I know of use residential phone numbers--not cell phone numbers.

Also, I live in a low socio-economic area where many single-parent households do not have a residential phone, but rather use cell phone to communicate with family as it's more economical. Most of these families do not vote republican as they are struggling finanacially.

I think these polls represent the huge numbers of democrats not accounted for in the professional polls.

23. Absolutely! These are no longer small potatoes polls of a thousand or so

votes, easily swayed by us or FR, if we vote. It's way bigger than us now.

Of course, we still have to get out the vote on November 2! Remember: high turnout always, always favors Democrats.
