Bush again says "no draft" WHILE
I'M PRESIDENT.

That seems to me a loophole. I think that the plan is to steal the election and declare * unfit to serve (via his physical exam), so that Cheney can take over--and institute a draft. Anyone?

1. Holding people in when they can not get out is a draft. Back door stuff.
Why didn't Kerry say that?

2. It's easier to lie now and make up an excuse later.
He won't need voters anymore....Anything goes.

3. Tim Ryan said it best in Congress the other day
Why people, particularly young people, have no other reason to but to expect a draft:

5. What's the worst that would happen to him if he lies...
... he would already be in office. You can't impeach a guy for breaking a campaign promise.

6. Sorry.... too far-fetched...
... it's just a simple lie, one of many by Bush. What he will say later--if he has the chance--is that he meant a general draft, while undertaking to begin a special draft for people with essential skills--IT, health, etc.

The latter is already under consideration.

Cheers.

7. No, they're just not going to call it a "draft"
It's going to be something like a "2 year Service Obligation for Every American" - and you can serve in noncombat positions as a first-responder, for example.

Think of the Israeli model - that's not a draft, it's compulsory service.

9. Bush: No draft.......why send "people" in to war when we
can make MILLIONS off of our new weapons systems and shoot/drop them into countries we fight. We can blow the smiterines out of countries..

There is more return on their "investment" by using WEAPONS, than there is by using soldiers enmasse. Especially since they would, feasibly, have to support those soldiers for the rest of their lives...NO RETURN ON THEIR INVESTMENT THERE!!

IT'S ABOUT THE WEAPONS and weapons industry now.

No, he doesn't "need" a wholesale draft of bodies to do the work anymore(ahem) Except for one little thing Bush, I can't imagine how fancy weapons are going to "win hearts and minds" of the people you claim to want to 'LIBERATE'

What profoundly crooked, lying bass tards Bush Inc. are :grr:
