He was even better in this debate than the last, and I was impressed to the point of awe. I just couldn't believe how many times he came up with a retort that demolished geedubya. It was funny and also really awesome when he said what we need is intelligence, and then paused. And his response to the pro life woman- saying he has to represent the whole country not just one group. And when he mentioned sneak and peak searches, and that they can even go into churches now w/o a warrant. His response to selecting judges was another thing that had genius in it- that when you read the judgments/arguments or whatever they're called, you can't tell whether the person was liberal or conservative, etc, just the judgement speaks for itself, and he wants judges who will have that kind of skill. And when he brought up issues that were not black and white, such as saying that he cannot be defined as liberal, that is too limited. These kinds of distinctions really drew attention to the sharp difference between him and Shrub. It was a big plus, of course that Shrub was so cooperative in losing his temper and all that. But I think Kerry would've beaten the pants off him no matter what. He just said everything right, imo, and even at the end when he kissed his kids and his wife, it seemed very natural and not done to show off, or anything like that. They seemed to respect him, too, that he did such a great job and everything. Man, I can not get over how impressed I am.

Dubya actually showed up so the reporters are spining it in part to his favor. IT totally reminds of the Daily Show segment where they say after the first debate. Give Bush credit, a retarded man debated the smartest man alive.

2. friend compared it to a tennis match |

My fairly nonpolitical friend said that if the debate was a tennis match, Kerry totally dominated the game.
