I sure hope everyone (especially the media) re-watches the debate |
|
During the debate it was obvious to me that Kerry won yet I felt bush had some strong moments (especially compared to the last debate).
Sometimes I think in the heat of the moment I was so focused on what John Kerry was saying or I was anticipating what he was going to say, I did not give bush much attention.
But, after re-watching some of the segments on different shows last night, bush's "strong moments" sure did weaken. He actually did a piss poor job.
A few times bush jumped up out of his seat and seemed to wave his arms (like Horshach (sp?) in Welcome Back Kotter - ooh me, me, me) like he had some really good rebuttal, but then his rebuts were usually just the same old sound bites.
So, with bush's somewhat strange behavior, stupid jokes that fell flat, weird statements (green eyeshades?), and piss poor answers there is no comparison between him and John Kerry. Once again Kerry was Presidential with clear statements on the issues, and bush was the dolt he always is.
Nice try bush, but no cigar.

1. I think * did worse in this debate because |
|
his whinny, defensive, hectoring is going to remind women of their immature, abusive first husband just the way little Ricky Lazio did when he hectored Hillary Clinton in their debate.
Also, he didn't have any better command of the facts. He just differed on style - goofy versus mean.
