The 90 minute temper tantrum. |
|
I can't possibly improve upon Will Pitt's debate analysis in TruthOut, but I think what we saw last night was a more restrained version of what has been rumored is his behavior in the White House lately. Also, was it just me or did anyone else notice that Bush did not address the questioners by name while Kerry consistently did? I thought that was a sign of respect on Kerry's part.

1. In fact, Bush yelled at several questioners |
|
last night. Didn't like having his policies even questioned.

2. There was so much bad behavior on the part of the Unelected Fraud |
|
that I do not understand why anyone would say that bush* came even close to Kerry in this debate. His rants made no sense, he was rude to the moderator, he lied on many occasions, and he avoided answering one of the biggest questions of all, to admit three mistakes and tell us what you would do differently.
The guy is a strutting belligerent nutcase and a large part of this country refuses to understand why he should not be allowed to return to the White House.
From everything that I could see, this wasn't a debate on bush*s part, this was just an opportunity to spin, lie, and try to cover his ass in regard to all the mistakes he's made. And I use the word 'mistakes' because right now I can't think of any other word except 'crimes'.

3. Bush could barely remember his own name last night |
|
I don't get how anyone can see the SAME THING I am seeing on TV and sit around afterward and say things like "The President was more in control tonight" or "The President was right on for substance tonight." WTF?!! Did anyone hear this moron's answer to the mistake question? Did anyone see him bring up the Dred Scott decision in talking about Supreme Court picks?
There was a cartoon back in the 60's (I can't remember if it was Rolling Stone or National Lampoon) that showed a candidate on a whistle stop tour. A rat scurried in front of him and before his handlers could stop him he grabbed it and bit it's head off. The next panel showed a bunch of fat white guys in a smoke filled room talking about whether anyone actually saw the candidate bite the rat.
These guys sit around and talk about whether someone looks presidential. Does it really matter when the guy is a FUCKING PARANOID MORON?

5. My favorite part of the debate was the woman in the red suit coming at him |
|
after the debate. She had him nailed down, and was really expressing some sort of displeasure with his answer...and those around her were smiling. I believe she was the woman who asked the "mistake" question.

6. That's right - he never said their names |
|
Edited on Sat Oct-09-04 11:42 AM by Mad_Dem_X
But Kerry made it a point to say their names. Even when he went back to someone a few minutes later, he remembered their name. He spoke TO them, not AT them.
On edit: The mistake question was my favorite. She asked * for three mistakes...he wouldn't even admit to making ONE!

7. I agree, I thought that was just outrageous when the only |
|
mistake he admitted to is some of the people he appointed. Which begs the question, who is he talking about? Rumsfield? Powell? Bremer?
Any ideas?
