Everyone needs to shut up about Anti-Kerry film. You are drawing attention
Look, the more we all talk about it and write letters and protest the more attention it will get. Lets keep dead silent about it and then when it shows, only the far right will know about it and watch it. Lets quit talking about it unless it starts getting a lot of press. Protesting it is the absolute worst thing we can do to promote it. Please think before you act.

1. I'm doing my bit
because I have no idea what film you are talking about, and I don't want to know.

Watching F911 again, and getting madder and madder about Bushco.

2. I'm torn about this...
On one hand, I'm inclined to agree with you. On the other hand, ignoring the Swift Boat liars was not a good move. But maybe they--and the whole Vietnam issue--has finally jumped the shark?

7. If it takes on a life of it's own then we attack, but for now lets stay
Quiet!

11. Ignoring the Swift Liars was a huge mistake by Kerry
Best not to make that mistake again.

14. Big difference here! NO ONE KNOWS about the film YET! Unless we
start protesting it. Let it make the news then Attack Full Force!

3. I'm not so sure
I think the right wing will get its message out to its target viewers no matter what we do. This should get a lot of press and hopefully some lawyers are out there preparing FCC and FEC challenges.

4. only the far right will know about it?
Are you kidding? It is going to be advertised all over before it is shown and it is going to be on every ones television.

You're just wrong.

12. I think we need to have our attack ready but don't attack until it gets
press. Why promote it for them????? That is exactly what the Right Wing did for Moores film.

8. I totally disagree.
The stations will be advertising it heavily. and it will get media attention. I'm not sitting by and letting it happen unchallenged.

9. I completely disagree...appeals to emotion are some of the more powerful
forms of propaganda. I would rather risk calling attention to a film by demonstrating that it is propaganda, created by a filmmaker who created a film worshipping Reverend Moon, who considers himself Christ than to take a risk that people take it at face value...if they DO see it now, it can be deconstructed...if they see it two days before the election there is NO response possible.

10. Truthfully,
I couldn't care less about the film. It will only convince those who are already convinced. Those who are for Kerry will remain steadfast. As for the undecided's... those who are undecided, are either in a coma or needing a lot of attention. :headbang:

I stole that little line from the tele. The Tweet One, I believe it was.

15. Flat wrong. It needs to be "controversial"
If it gets framed as a "controversial decision," then it is framed as a political act and will lose most of its effect even if it airs. We can accomplish at least that much, and recent experience tends to indicate they'll back off of playing it as soon as it is tarred with that brush.

18. I agree... "Swiftboat Vets for Truth" are already discredited.
This film will be in the same vein as the SBVT ads. If too many people sense there's a controversy, the media will pick up on it, more people will want to watch it, and even more TV stations will be happy to oblige them.

Please leave it alone! You can criticize it, if and when it ever airs..
