USNews: Kerry-Edwards Campaign: 'Bush Goes Negative...On Charlie Gibson'
Great description of Bushs barely controlled anger and smarmyness last night, along with many quotes on that point from the media:

US Newswire: "Kerry-Edwards Campaign: 'Bush Goes Negative...On Charlie Gibson'"

My favorite is a long one:

"The president...let his feelings get the better of him, getting hot under the collar in a medium best served cold. From the outset, his clenched jaw twitched, and he blinked repeatedly, like a man whose contact lens hurt. And when Senator John Kerry turned and confronted him face to face with the latest report on the absence of illicit weapons in Iraq, President Bush snickered derisively - the first sign that the president, though more combative than in the first debate, was not on his game."
(New York Times, 10/9/04)

1. GREAT!
"An angry Bush at one point cut off moderator Charles Gibson to upbraid Kerry for criticizing the size of the coalition backing the United States in Iraq, saying it denigrated allies like Britain and Poland." (Reuters, 10/9/04)

Bush tells the Terrorists to,"Bring it on" and then has the gall to be criticizing anyone, for anything?

2. I liked Kerry's comment about Missouri
... making up the third largest coalition force behind the US and Great Britain.

International Coalition, my ass, George.

3. That was awesome!
I let out a whoop. My other highlight in a great performance was in mentioning the balanced budgets under Clinton.

5. THe most powerful newspaper ad I can imagine
Would be to show the size of the coalition by state instead of by country for America and then inlcude the other coalitions. It would only need to be the top ten or so, but would show the american people how deep we are in this thing!

Edited on Sat Oct-09-04 12:34 PM by Hubert Flottz
I'll bet Al loved the "Wild Eyed" Bush coming unglued! The Supreme court might jump on Kerry for "Hurting" Bush, like they jumped on Al Gore for wanting the votes counted in 2000 and "Hurting" Bush! Bush is Soooooo Fragile and Sensitive these Daze!

4. I am hoping that the "media"
is gearing up for questioning Bush's mental stability. If any democrat behaved this way the meme would be that he is nuts.

9. If there exists an ounce of justice in this universe
the time has come for us to enjoy it. The whole world has suffered far too much at the hands of this arrogant regime.
