Sinclair Broadcasting and the anti-Kerry program: READ before acting

when you address the affiliates, stay on a supportive, positive message--DO NOT ATTACK, as we don't know if they will be complying with SBGs programming.

For instance; many affiliates chose to go ahead with the "Nightline" broadcast where Koppel read the names of the US soldiers who have died in Iraq, despite SBGs requesting them not to.

I will try to find a link, but I do remember talk of this here in GD at the time.

Please be careful how you approach affiliates.

No SBG affiliates in my area; await ideas as to how to proceed from others.

Chances are you will catch folk blindsided by this thing...and as the post above this is a corporate decision that many below probably didn't know was happening. Careful and steady as she goes.

I posted a suggestion of mine earlier, with no response, in putting our own DU shows at local Sinclair stations while they're airing this tripe. I'll be curious how this plays out.

The anger I feel can't be described here...firing up years of frustration.
