Unfortunately most of our media is owned by Republicans. They OWN the power. Appeal to the FCC will not work because they (Powerl) run the FCC.

The only immediate recourse is to find the money to BUY access, and there are few sources of the tens of millions required.

A massive new online funds-raising campaign could do it. We should
also lobby our Dem philantropists. Maybe this new slander justifies
Teresa legally separating from the Kerry campaign to fund a defense of
her husband's .

I have written to Soros, our only Billionaire backer, with the note below. Hopefully our side
will find a way to repond to these Rovian election-stealing tactics.

Dear Mr. Soros, it is reported that you decided to do you Stop Bush tour after you witnessed the denigration of Kerry’s public image as the SwiftVet Smear campaign got traction in the media.

Now the Sinclair Broadcasting Affiliates are planning to air in prime-time a 1 hour anti-Kerry documentary in ¼ of the broadcast stations in the U.S. in the week prior to election. Like the SwiftVet Smears this documentary attacks Kerry’s war record and anti-war activities.

I think that the best antidote to the anti-Kerry smear campaign is the documentary “Going Upriver: The Long War of John Kerry”

Is there any way to promote the movie via investment, sponsored events or other formats. Could the affiliates be compelled to carry the movie as a legal counter to the Sinclair broadcast.

I think it is critical that some response be put in process before it is too late.

they can do that wouldn't attract attention to the smear, but detract from it...i.e. just speaking out and standing up for Kerry; making their voices heard. And promoting "Going Upriver."

6. The citizens of the US own the airwaves

Rich pugs may own the buildings and equipment used to broadcast, but they would not be able to broadcast if it were not for the broadcast frequencies granted to them by the FCC. In other words the broadcast airwaves belong to the PUBLIC, we need to demand that anyone using PUBLIC airwaves to broadcast Moonie propaganda should be held to a higher standard. I am bothered by the use of our airwaves to subvert democracy.

10. A Free Showing Of F911

Michael Moore has already said he'd waive the restrictions of putting the movie on free TV...now we have a cause for stations to show it.

Two ways to accomplish this. First to make a lot of noise and hope a friendly network like CBS or affiliates set this up or a Soros or others BUY the airtime nationally for a viewing. Either way, Sinclair just opened a big door for us!

Dont forget Michael Moore says he didnt do the movie for the money. I'm sure he could put his money together with Soros and a few hollywood types and pay local cable companies to air F/911 for free on the same night as the Sincrap broadcast. They could call it FREE-FOR-VIEW.

I went into the video store today and got F9/11 to see again..and the video guy who saw my Kerry/Edwards pin said look what they came out with to coincide with F9/11.."Farenhype 9/11"..

I told him about "Going UPRiver" and that it was coming out Oct 19th..I will go back and tell him about being able to download it on the internet..We need to get as many people as possible seeing this.
