Are Colorado's electoral votes now cut in half? |
|
This site shows that half of Colorado is in the Kerry column and half is in the Bush column. How many electoral votes is the East side of Colorado worth? http://www.pollbooth.org/index.shtml

2. It's on the ballot in November for Coloradans to approve an |
|
amendment to allow a split of electoral votes based on percentage outcome, I believe. If that passes, it goes into effect this election. This was a Dem-sponsored initiative, I believe. It will help us if Bush takes the lead in Colorado and hurt us if Kerry does.

3. On election day they are also voting on a state amendment |
|
that will divide up the EC votes by % of popular vote.
Since CO is just about 50-50 at the moment, that is why the votes are divided.
However, if the amendment fails, it will be winner take all.
