Forgive me but F**K the undecideds
I wish the networks and Kerry would stop pandering to them.
If you are still undecided you are a f**king moron!
They are ignorant fools. Did you see the networks and thier "focus groups"? Everyone I saw---- the undecided gaggle of fools said the debate was a draw! One or two said last night helped them decide bush* is who they will vote for!

These undecided idiots are not going to decide the election. It will be an UNPRECEDENTED turnout of people (young and old) who are paying attention to what's going on and Kerry will win in a landslide!
I would bet money on it.
I am POSITIVE.

Go eat s**t undecided people.
The next 20 years of our lives is being decided on November 2nd. The candidates could not be further apart on almost every issue and these people are still sitting on the fence and I best most won't even vote.

1. If you are undecided,
you haven't been paying attention.

5. Even in 2000, some TV comedian
(I forget which one) was ragging on the undecideds. "Come on," he said. "You only have two guys to choose from. What's so hard?"

In this case, I see the undecideds as people whose heads have been full of sports and reality TV and soap operas and shopping malls since November 2000 and who are just now indulging in their every-four-year semi-awakening.

2. Did you see the Daily Show on the undecided?
They tried to sit down with a group of them, but no one could decide what chair to sit in. The interviewer listened only a few minutes before she blew, "MAKE UP YOUR MIND ALREADY." It was great!

7. I'm with you - This election cycle has been going on since
georgie porgie was selected back in December 2000. If they haven't made up their minds by now, I wouldn't give too much credence to their minds now. Maybe they are sorely lacking.

11. I'm don't know about that
I had a young deliveryman come into my office. While I was signing for the package, he asked me about my F-911 video sitting on my desk. He said he heard stuff about it, but didn't really understand what it was all about. I asked him if he watched the news and he said no. I asked if he read the internet and he said no. He works, plays and comes home too tired to do anything but sleep.

I offered to loan him my video and he was thrilled. This type of stuff happens all the time to me at work. People ask me out of the blue "I wish I knew who I should vote for". Needless to say, they don't get away from me without a good talkin' to.

People realize that something's wrong, but they've been relying on the cable/TV news for their source and that doesn't always leave them feeling totally comfortable. Those people don't always know where to turn for the truth.

8. I don't think that there
are many true "undecided" people--most of them are pretending to be undecided to get attention and be in focus groups. BUT I do personally know at least a coupld people who really are undecided--and they are mind-boggling--and horribly frustrating.

One will probably end up not voting--another just agrees to whoever she is talking to (who knows what she will do if she makes it to a voting booth) and another says she "doesn't like either one of them, but claims she IS going to vote--she just doesn't know for whom"

These people make me gring my teeth. I agree--it is more worthwhile to fire up the base to turn out than waste a lot of time going after the perpetually wishy-washy.

9. If we're true to our own convictions, to our base...
...we WILL win the undecideds. In fact, there's a good chance that we'll begin to win back that great mass of non-voters as well.

10. Bush and the Republicans are working their base
Edited on Sat Oct-09-04 04:54 PM by depakote_kid
and not worrying about pandering to the undecideds, who as often as not don't vote. For whatever reason (DLC "logic") the Dems seem to have this compulsion to drift right to try to pick up this ephemeral group- going so far as to totally cede entire issues, rather than standing up to theiir falsehoods. The whole tort deform issue is a clasic example. Rather than cite the numerous studies that show that limiting damages DOES NOT and WILL NOT bring down malpractice insurance rates- but only results in windfalls for insurers AND injustice for people who've been harmed, they punt. The say. "oh, we have a plan too."

Vey lame strategy, IMHO. I supposed Kerry HAD to get backed into a corner, given his fight with Dean over Sadaam- and now Bush can go around crowing that "he saw the same evidence we did... blah, blah, blah..." but they don't have to play that game in other areas.

Folks, this is why I became a Green- and why I intend to remain one for the foreseeable future.

12. Will anti Kerry movies or anti Bush movies help undecideds?
Nothing will. They will just make up their minds on election day and vote for whomever crosses their undecided little minds that particular moment.

13. There are not very many of them
...who aren't in actual fact, registered republicans. The networks play up the undecideds because they need a horserace to sell tv advertising. No drama, no high ad prices. As for the nitwits who call themselves undecideds, they fall into three categories:

1. Morons
2. Attention seekers
3. Partisan plants trying to game the system

I agree that college kids with cellphones, who are not asked, counted or even noted, could have a big role this time. They do not want to be drafted. I do not blame them!

16. OK....
So, if undecideds should just go to hell, what are the point of campaigns again? If not to convince undecided people to vote for them, then what? Preach to their respective choirs?

I guess Kerry could just say what people on the left want to hear, and say to hell with the moderates, if you like losing elections.

17. I dont think there are undecideds
there are liberals and conservatives...and people that lean liberal or conservative. Every election cycle people do back flips trying to attract the other side. I just hope to god Kerry wins. I really wish we could reclaim the liberal label.

20. Fire up the base and
Get the soft bush supporters.

A friend of mine who would not see Farenhiet 9-11 has changed his mind. I bought the movie for him and handed him a 20 page printout of Micheal Moore backing the facts in the film.
I did not hear from him for days and pusposely did not call him.
This morning he left me a 5 second message before he went to work.

He said ' "I'm voting for Kerry. Talk to you Sunday."

He became informed and now one more republican is casting thier first vote for a Democrat.

19. Undecided = Someone who needs minor convincing for Kerry
That's been my experience in the trenches. They are usually for Bush because "he's the President". Talk with them about issues they care about and they usually go for Kerry within minutes.

Don't alienate them.

and you just came out of it. And somebody presented you a list of what Bush has done in four years. And you haven't had the ability to hear any of the contorted republican spin, it should be enough to make you want to go back in the coma.

24. If you are THAT unable to make a decision
in one of the BIGGEST elections in recent history with two of the MOST different candidates EVER, then fucking stay home on election day. I would never normally advise that to ANY American, but like they said in a skit on The Daily Show to undecideds, "HOW DO YOU FUCKING GET DRESSED IN THE MORNING?"

25. Now I've heard it all
Let's see:

* 60-66% of the late undecideds figure to break for the challenger, i.e. Kerry

* The majority of the undecideds are women, according to virtually every state poll. Women figure to prefer Kerry by 10% or therabouts.

* Without push polling, the typical amount of undecideds is about 5-7%. That is a significantly greater number of people than EVERY PERSON WE HAVE REGISTERED THIS YEAR. In fact, nearly double.

Yeah, fuck the undecideds. What's reality got to do with it?

26. This election will rewrite the political science books
I say JUST STOP CATERING TO THEM.
Keep the base fired up and- if, as you say, they will show up at the polls.... there is only one guy winning every debate.

Only one guy (and his running mate) telling the truth.

In between thier mind numbing sitcoms, the undecideds can see Iraq is a mess. They are living paycheck to paycheck. As they go to the gas pumps and pay for oil heat they see the price go up..and up...

We don't need to cater and cajole them if they plan on paying attention before they vote.

Remember the Dem primaries? History making turnout. Now, People are standing on line to register to vote bush out.

And this "reality" you talk about. Yes. You have a point. BUT-the reality of that reality is the undecideds break for the challenger.
