2. Asked the same thing, sort of
a few posts down, and haven't gotten any links. I also wondered if any of them had been interviewed.

3. I was wondering about that myself
Sure would be interesting to get feedback from the audience and especially the folks that asked the questions. I'm certain the woman who asked the "bad decisions" questions had to be disappointed with the response.

4. It would be curious, but
since there's been such obvious selection bias, I'm not sure it would mean very much, at least on a quantitative level. Qualitatively, it might be interesting to hear some descriptions.

6. You would think Gallup has
after all, they chose the audience, there must have been something in it for them.

I don't trust Gallup at all. Too many connections, directly to Bush.

7. NPR had one person on
who talked about being at the debate. He did not ask a question. He said he was more likely to vote for *. He said that * was more likeable and connected better with people in the room.

12. Not much of a description
Maybe if the reporter from NPR had some sense, he would have asked a couple of follow-ups to find out "why" Bush was more "likable" or "better connected with" people in the room.

More than likely, this bushbot couldn't have answered, because he was only repeating what he'd been told. and hadn't made any observations on his own.

9. that wasn't the St. Louis audience
that was an audience of undecideds in Ohio who watched the debate on TV and had the hand held controls. No controls in the hands of the St. Louis audience.

10. Many in the audience say they're still
undecided.
St Louis Post Dispatch paper.

This is a paragraph from the article, I thought was interesting.

The overwhelming white group spent much of Friday sequestered together, then sat in a half-circle around the two men during the 90-min, debate. No one was available from Gallup late Friday to explain why few minorities had been selected. Missouri's population is 85 percent white, 11 percent African-American and the rest a mix of other minorities.

11. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch profiled six of their own "undecideds"
One who was leaning Bush is now strong for Bush, two who were leaning Kerry are now strong Kerry, one woman is still just leaning Kerry ("But I'm not counting Bush out yet.") and one guy says he's still completely undecided because he can't decide if Bush's "limitations and shortcomings are deep enough to warrant him not having a second term."

There is no link to this article, but there is some debate coverage at www.stltoday.com

15. They spent a lot of time with Kerry after the debate...
Wasn't Kerry still shaking hands late after the debate long after Bushy had left?
