I have voted early in the past. This time I had thought to stand in line at the polls just for the rituallity of it all. Then our Democratic Party field office started encouraging everybody to vote early. I started thinking about all the things that could happen to prevent me from voting - seizures (although, I've never had one), pulmonary embolisms, (never had that, either), kid problems (have lots of those), terrorist attacks, (you never know), car accident, (it's been 20 years), or any other calamity and I thought it was just too important to take a chance. So, I mailed my ballot today.

Early voting starts here on Wednesday, and I will be there tocast my vote for John F. Kerry!

I will probably cry as I pull the Democratic lever on election day (right before I begin my day as a first time poll-watcher for the Dems.!!!)

7. I stared at the envelope a long time before dropping it in the mail box.

I've waited so long for the moment I could vote for Kerry, I didn't want to let it pass non-chalantly. I'll be in school Nov. 2, also. I forgot to list that in my what-ifs, but when I get home, I'm going to party like it's Super Bowl Sunday. Man, I hope it's a landslide so there's no hangover the next day!
