Next hour they'll replay the 2nd Dukakis/Bush debate from '88.

The background and set are bland and comparitively primitive, along with the flimsy chairs and one-legged podium. The camera shots feature more closeups than current.
Otherwise, the format and the time limits are near identical. Plenty of the same topics and themes. They even have cutaway shots of the other candidate.
When does Nixon become a sweathog? Not in the first half hour.
