Danger on the horizon, after the next debate ...
Edited on Sat Oct-09-04 08:22 PM by Onlooker
After the next debate, the Repugs and their 527s are going to unleash every lie, distortion, and manipulative scheme they can think of. If we think they've been sleazy so far, just wait until after the next debate. These guys have demonstrated a willingness to make outright lies, misuse their power as elected officials, and cheat. Expect the worse from them. It's going to truly test not only the ability of the Kerry campaign, but also the ability of our institutions to ensure a reasonably fair vote and the ability of progressives to fight back. We should be prepared. After the next debate, every one of us will have a lot of work to do if we want a Democratic victory.

1. Doesn't surprise me.
But there's no reason to believe that it will save Bush, unless it comes with about three million jobs. Bush is toast.

3. Rightwing Spin Machine in Action
And come it will, those 3 million jobs. Already, the freeper (creeper) types are plastering political websites and chatrooms with "stats" that supposedly prove the rosey economic picture is real. They are oblivious to other numbers but the ones that support their false premises. Once again, selectivity at work. They are also selective on which scientific theories to accept. I don't have time for lenghty posts now but someone here should start a thread on rightwing selectivity, double-standards, and hypocrisies.

4. On the jobs issue....
..thats a tough one for the Bush people to convince everyone on even with doctored numbers because so many people are either out of work, working two or three crap jobs just to support themselves or at least know some people in that situation. This is one of those issues alot of Americans are dealing with everyday thats why even with the pro Bush media Kerry scores so much better on the economy.
Don't misunderstand me I agree that the Bush bullshit machine will be out there working double time after the 3rd debate, smearing Kerry and everyone around him.Its a matter of exposing the lies and pushing the media to report them.I mean who the hell knows what lies they will come up with,if Bush really eats it bad in the 3rd debate they will be spewing all sorts of absurd garbage.
