1. what an idiot
Edited on Sat Oct-09-04 09:07 PM by enoel2
"I did move a little more toward Bush, because he was personable"

Even bigger idiot:
She was dissatisfied with Mr. Bush's answer to her question - whether he could name three mistakes he had made and what he did to correct them - but came no closer to a decision just the same.

4. Personally, I think they're all idiots.
Wishy-washy.

How can anyone be undecided at this stage of the game?

11. So, basically, this woman LIKES being yelled at and denigrated
in front of millions of people. Junior not only didn't answer her question,he turned it around and accused her of trying to trick him into admitting he was wrong about Iraq. So, according to her pResident, she's a sneak and a liar, BUT she may still vote for him. Because she likes being evaded and abused.

Moran alert. :eyes:

27. In fairness, I think almost any politician would have a hard time REALLY
answering this question and owning up to 3 mistakes. Best bet would be to ask them to name ONE mistake and describe how they'd rectify it.

Honestly I'm not sure I could see Kerry naming 3 mistakes of his own in response to this but I bet he'd do a better job answering than Bush.

When Kerry was asked the question about "no tax dollars going to support abortion" by the chick with the quavering voice, he didn't really answer the specific question asked either. All decent politicians are a master of not directly answering the question asked if it's a difficult one.

The one gal asked a VERY good question about, "how can America compete in manufacturing when the salaries expected for decent standard of living in the U.S. are so much higher than the 3d world 'outsourcing' countries", to which I truly think there are no easy answers. Kerry did a good job describing his tax incentive program/talking points, and education/training, but as the moderator pointed out, this doesn't really answer the very difficult question. Not that I think Bush has any attempt at an answer for this or even gives a damn.

2. Let's see
There's no way Kerry is going to win over idiots like this:
"I did move a little more toward Bush, because he was personable."

8. Personable?? What the?
I guess the smart-ass remarks he made that made the audience laugh were what made him "personable." Or the incessant winking he did at the audience members.

Personable?? These undecideds need to get a grip. You want personable, watch Oprah.

Gawd, I sure wish more Americans would raise their standards for the President.

26. Kinky Winky?
Winking? Was he directing those towards some hotties in the audience? I scanned the crowd and didn't see too many hotties but who knows what turns Bush on. LOL ;)

...night's debate also? Did anyone bother to look? I watched the debate on a 12" screen so I couldn't tell.

14. Yes, but it was a completely different lump this time
This time it actually appeared to be a protective vest. In the first debate, though, it's a different lump. Lower and smaller with a wire up his shoulder.

7. It must be the media attention -
if they say they've made up their minds, no one cares about them anymore.

I saw a quote from another "uncommitted" voter who said she was going to decide on Nov 1. :wtf:
Hope she's put an appt in her PDA - 11/1 - 3pm - Must make a decision

I find it hard to believe that there's anybody with a couple of brain cells who hasn't made up their mind already!!!

10. Ding ding ding -- you win!!
I agree. Except for a very few with ... some sort of ... challenge ... i think that it HAS to be the attention. That's the ONLY thing that explains it.

The few (and I do know a few coming, as I do, from a very conservative/fundamentalist family) who are ***really*** torn -- have decided not to vote at all, because they can't, under their religious views, support either.

The rest just want attention -- and since the now mythical 'undecideds' are getting all the attention ... staying "that way" is the only way to keep the light on them.

9. Honestly now these folks should just stay home...
and watch one of those nice television shows that are on every night.

What in the name of god is the matter with these fucking people? Did they check them for a pulse before the show? Does the top of their heads screw on and off? Sweet merciful lord!

12. I heard one undecided say on tv last night
.. that she wanted to hear how each of them was going to stop outsourcing before she decided who to vote for. WTF? Bush is NOT going to stop outsourcing. People are just too lazy to look for information on their own. They want to be spoonfed.

13. You know there could be another explanation
Maybe they're (or at least some of them) are saying "uncommitted" because they just don't want to be hassled?

People will say they are "independent" even though you damn well know they are going to vote Repug or Dem.

I don't know how to settle the bet, but I'd bet that at least half of the audience Friday night DID make up their mind by the time the debate was over.

16. not these fools as they are the type who show up for the debate
the ones who don't want to be hassled are most likely the types who don't care to show up at some town hall meeting for hours and listen.

but these fools just want attention. with their bloated egos.

i'm pretty sure many in the audience were not undecided. including many who asked questions like the abortion question. the rest just want attention. those who have time to go to a town hall meeting to listen to a debate certainly have time to look up info on their own to find out which candidate is right for them.

15. they aren't undecided as much as attention seeking whores
fucking shitholes could easily have looked up info on these candidates but they didn't. and it has nothing to do with not having time since they had time to get their asses there and listen to the fucking debate for 90+ minutes.

i actually don't mind those who pose as undecideds but are really decideds asking partisan questions as i have a problem with those who just want attention.

How about the woman who doesn't like the "I have a plan" answers? Does she have 2 or 3 hours to read them or does Kerry have to stand there and read them to her?

They KNOW who they're voting for for Christ's SAKE.

Reminds me of the Daily Show skit where she asks questions of the undecided voters like "how the FUCK do you even get DRESSED in the morning?"

19. Don't believe this bull
about people being undecided. Everyone has already made up their mind its all about voter turnout. No one needs answers. Everyone knows Bush's failures and they already know if they're sick of it or thirty for more.

I would rather Kerry spend these next few weeks energizing the base. Reaching out to minorities. All these so called undecideds is bull. Get the Dems excited to get out to vote.

22. The choice has never been clearer. There has never been
in my memory anyway, more of a difference between the two candidates. And these assholes can't make up their mind? Have they not been paying attention to what has been going on in this country and the world for the past four years? As the saying goes, "If you're not outraged, you have not been paying attention!" I have no respect for people who are too self-involved or too lazy or whatever their feeble excuse is, not to know what is going on in the world around them.

24. Not all Missourians are idiots . . .
Some of us are able to read and write, and some of us have no problem finding our way to the polling booth. Probably the NYT searched under every rock until they found a group of morons who matched the image most people have of Missourians. Too bad. I would urge you nice Democrats to think of great Missourians like Mark Twain, Harry Truman and Brad Pitt who are truly representative of our state.

25. Focus groups=Reality TV
the undecideds are just the latest group of reality TV whores. They should just put them in a closet and let them talk to the camera about their precious feelings.

The minute they decide - they know they are off the TV. They have about as relevance as those skanky date shows.
